Could Baby Brown Be Another Dannielynn?
A rep for ex-Spice Girl Melanie Brown (or Mel B, as she’s more widely known) has released a statement, saying that the former singer has just given birth to a healthy baby girl.
“The baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair. Mother and baby are now resting. No name has been decided on as yet and she is purely known as Baby Brown.”
“Both mother and baby are expected to leave the hospital in the next few days and are looking forward to going back home.”
Baby Brown was born just after midnight on Tuesday, and weighed in at 5 lb., 4 oz.
The question now is, who’s the father?
Melanie insists that the child was fathered by her ex-boyfriend, actor Eddie Murphy, but he’s since made claims to the contrary.
In December last year, Eddie announced on a Dutch TV show that he didn’t believe the baby was his. “I don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test,” Murphy said to the interviewer. “You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, sir.”
Melanie was apparently “upset and distressed” by those comments, and rightly so. There were rumours a while back on Mel B appearing on a U.S. talk show to reveal the father’s identity, but whether that is still happening is a mystery.
The question Brown would be asking her baby right now is: “Who’s your daddy?”
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see…or pay per view!
