Talk show host Jay Leno has apologised today for the on-air gay remarks he made to guest Ryan Phillippe, which sparked a mini-scandal in the U.S.

“In talking about Ryan’s first role, I realize that what I said came out wrong,” Leno said in a statement. “I certainly didn’t mean any malice. I agree it was a dumb thing to say, and I apologize.”

Kate in one of the LOST: Season 4 Promo Shots

Wooo! Get excited, because the promotional shots for the fourth season of Lost have just been released, which can only mean one thing: the writer’s strike in the U.S. hasn’t affected the starting time for the latest series!!!

I’ve been told that because of the strike, only half of the scheduled 16 episodes of season four had been filmed, which meant it was most likely the show’s producers would “postpone” the premiere indefinitely. However, now that I’ve seen the promo shots, I have hope that we’ll at least get to see the 8 episodes already shot.

There are more promo shots of the characters, including Jack, Claire and Sun, after the jump.

The O.C. Kids Are Egotisical

The Cast of ‘The O.C.’

Former The O.C. actor, Tate Donovan (who played Jimmy Cooper), has slammed his young co-stars on the hit soap, claiming that they were all “incredibly difficult” to work with.

The veteran television star, who once worked on the Friends set, said that many of the “on-set dramas” spoken about in the media were caused by young actors Mischa Barton, Benjamin McKenzie, Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody.

Donovan said: “They were really tough. Directors were leaving the set and saying, ‘I’m never going to work with (them again).’”

“I think they all wanted movie careers and did not want to be on a television show. All four of them were, like, ‘This show is ruining my career.’”

And since the hit teen show was axed from television, how many of them actually still have a career?? Hmm… guess being an actor on a tv show wasn’t so bad after all.

Kylie Minogue to Appear on Doctor Who

Aussie songstress, Kylie Minogue, has been confirmed to star in this year’s hour-long Christmas epidsode of U.K. sci-fi favourite, Doctor Who.

Kylie will have a “major lead role” in the epidsode, which is said to be titled ‘Voyage of the Damned.’

The executive producer of the series, Russell T. Davies, said he’s really looking forward to the release of the Christmas special. “This will be the most ambitious and best Christmas epidsode yet!”

He added that he was “delighted and excited” to confirm Kylie’s appearance.

Filming for the special is said to begin in Cardiff later this month.

Christina Lands First Acting Role

Christina Aguilera on CSI: New York

Pop star Christina Aguilera has just landed her first acting role, as a guest star in the hit crime series, CSI: New York.

Executive producer Anthony Zuiker has confirmed the singer’s appearance, and recently said: “Christina’s a fan of the show, and we’re excited to have her. The episode will probably explore the topic of battered women.”

That will be a tough role for Christina, as you all know she revealed a few years ago her shattered childhood, and the abuse of her mother at the hands of her father.

I wish her luck, and hopefully she’ll have more talent in the acting department than fellow pop rivals Britney Spears and Mariah Carey, who both crashed and burned on debut.

Madonna To Guest Star on Nip/Tuck

Plastic surgery drama, Nip/Tuck, is said to be having a number of famous guest stars this season, three of those being pop queen Madonna and actresses Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock
Creator Ryan Murphy says that he’s currently working on writing a part for Mads, who is a big fan of the show.

“I’m going to write something for Madonna, who is a fan of the show and I would love for her to do something with Rosie.”
Nicole Kidman has already signed up for a role on the show, and Sandra Bullock has also expressed her interest in a guest spot.

“Sandy said she wanted to come on last year and she didn’t. She wants to come on the last episode and she wants to get her whole body done, or something,” Murphy said.

Mischa Barton believes that the demise of popular teen soap, The OC, was due to her character, Marissa Cooper, being killed off at the end of the last season.

When asked if she thought she had been the reason most fans tuned in to the show, Mischa replied “That’s what I think [the producers] discovered [after I left].”

But wait a minute…I though Mischa left the show because she’d had enough…

“No. They killed me off.”

I guess not, then…

Here’s Why TV SUCKS…

The O.C. is in the Can!

The best show on television (in my opinion), The O.C., has been canned!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Yes, it’s official…both the Fox network and The O.C. creator, Josh Schwartz, have sent out press releases confirming the death of the teen drama.

Fox says that the season finale will be aired on February 22nd (in the States), so that’s only 8 episodes left of the Orange County crew!!!

Here’s what Josh had to say: “There will be a pregnancy. There will be a most unexpected new love triangle. There will be some new animals that need saving. There will be some hallucinatory dreams. And there’s going to be a fight for the love of a certain woman. And there’s going to be some surprises for the Cohen family, and some really big decisions for everybody to make. The finale is going to deliver real closure to these characters. It’s going to be the finale we had always planned to do.”

“Thanks to the hard work of our cast, crew and writers, we have enjoyed our best season yet, and what better time to go out than creatively on top. It has been an amazing experience and a great run. For a certain audience, at a certain time, The O.C. has meant something. For that we are grateful.”

Damn you, Mischa…DAMN YOU!!!! You gave The O.C. the kiss of death when you left!!!

Now what am I going to watch?!? Laguna Beach is hardly a decent substitute for Ben, Adam and Rachel!!!!
