For those of you who were hoping that Tara Reid would spontaneously combust, I’ve a bit of bad news for you…
The former American Pie star, who recently claimed that she was taking a break from Hollywood while the writer’s strike did its thing, was out and about over the weekend, parading in a silver metallic bikini on Miami Beach.
I wonder if that cozzie is a sample from her new fashion collection, Mantra by Tara Reid??
Reid Blames Writer’s Strike for Acting Drought
For those of you concerned about Tara Reid’s absence from acting, fear not! The American Pie star has come forward with the reason why we’ve not seen her on the big screen for some time - she supports the writer’s strike!
Yes, Ms. Reid is mistakingly under the impression that the writer’s strike which affected the production in the world of both television and film is still in effect. Poor little dear must have been hiding under a rock for the past nine months.
“I totally plan to go back into acting once the [writer’s] strike stops,” Reid said at Eva Longoria’s benefit gala last week.
“The economy is so bad right now that people are afraid to put money back into acting. Even the shows that seem new, they really shot six months ago,” Reid added. “So when it’s all back up again, I will go back into it. That’s my heart.”
In the meantime, Reid plans to release a clothing line - Mantra by Tara Reid - to tide her over until this acting thing picks back up again. No doubt the line is tailored to fit those who’ve had plastic surgery mishaps like Reid. Chocolate blancmange-belly pants, anyone??

Tara Reid Engaged
Actress Tara Reid is set to marry French fashion boss Julien Jarmoune, after the 32-year-old reportedly accepted his proposal.
“Tara’s really in love with this guy, and he’s had an amazing calming effect on her,” one of Reid’s pals told the National Enquirer.
Added the friend: “She’s trying to clean up her reputation. Julien has definitely changed Tara for the better. It looks like she’s finally gotten her act together. They’re talking about a wedding next summer.”
Does this mean there’ll be no more of Tara selling herself to event managers for diddly-squat?

Tara Reid on ‘Dancing With The Stars’

International celebrity Tara Reid has agreed to a stint on the Australian version of Dancing With The Stars.
The American Pie star reportedly turned down an appearance on Network Ten’s Big Brother (who then paid Pamela Anderson over half a million dollars for a few hours in the house) to join the latest line-up on the dancing reality show.
So far, Ms. Reid is the only celebrity to sign up for the latest season of the Channel 7 show. It is set to air shortly after the network’s coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics has ended.
At the end of the last series, co-host Daryl Somers was sacked, leaving Strictly Ballroom actress Sonia Kruger on her own in the hosting duties.
Tara Reid & the Technicolor Dream Hat
Tara Reid wowed the crowd outside the CocoDeVille Lounge in West Hollywood when she turned up in a barely-there white dress and a super-funky technicolor hat.
If the American Pie actress wasn’t wearing such a trashy dress, I’d say she looked almost cute. Pity.

Tara Reid To Appear On Australia’s Dancing With The Stars

Australia’s favorite renta-celeb, Tara Reid is coming back to our sunny shores.
Tara has landed a spot on Australia’s Dancing With The Stars. The show’s production company has tried to get other stars such as Gordon Ramsay and Carson Kressley on the show, but both have turned down the gig.
Reid, who reportedly charged as little as $3,500 to appear at Darwin’s ‘Hookers Ball’ last year has been asked to star on the eighth series of the show.
Somehow I think Tara’s pulling power may not be enough for the show, mind you, it could help boost her profile, look at what it has done for all the other has-beens.

Tara Reid was out at Club Hollywood in a very short black dress, showing off her pins, and probably whatever else she has when she bends over.
It is well known that Tara is pretty good value for appearances and I am not sure if this was one of those times, but you can enjoy the rest of her in her short dress.

Tara Reid is looking a lot better in Miami then she did in Sydney.
From the back and above the waist from the front, she looks pretty good.
Even her famously elastic stomach is looking a lot tighter; sure it’s not there yet, but it is getting better. I am not sure if all that flabby excess skin has been cut out or what, but there is a definite improvement.

Tara Reid has been enjoying her stay on the Gold Coast, sunning herself with new Aussie “friend” Jay Lyon around the Palazzo Versace Hotel pool.
