Despite being clean for 115 days ow, Steve-O has checked himself back into a mental institution to try and get on top of his problems.

He says this on his blog:

“I’ve now been clean for 115 days, and I’m, again, in a mental institution,” the Jackass star, 33, writes. “I did so much cocaine, ketamine, pcp, nitrous oxide, and all sorts of other drugs, that, quite simply, my brain is f—-d up.”

“I frequently suffer from horrible mood swings and severe depression.”

“The bottom line is that doing drugs f—-d my a– up, and I’m going to be paying for it for a long time, probably for the rest of my life,” he says. “Everyone’s going to make their own decisions in life, but nobody needs to make the same mistakes I made.”

“The medication that is prescribed to me doesn’t do the trick every day. I’m back in the looney bin trying to get that s—t right.

You have to give him credit for effort and recognizing the damage his lifestyle did. He has a long hard road in front of him, but hopefully he will get there.

Jackass star Steve-O is being held at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after threatening to take his own life.

According to an insider, he was taken to the emergency room on Sunday afternoon. After drug tests, he was checked into the Thalians Mental Health Center, where he was put on a 72-hour hold, which has since been extended to 14 days.

“Steve is stabilized on meds at this point,” the source said. “He was also treated for burns on his skin as if he had been putting cigarettes out on his own body.”

Friends and family have become increasingly concerned about the star’s mental state, especially following his March 3 arrest following a dispute with a neighbor. Days after, a close family member told Star that Steve-O — real name Stephen Glover — suffers from untreated bipolar disorder.

“Right now he’s in his extreme mania,” the family member said. “His concerned friends and family are hoping he’ll seek treatment. He doesn’t need jail, he needs therapy. We’re just really hoping that this will be the wake-up call that gets him back to himself.”

But the situation escalated over the weekend when Steve-O, 33, e-mailed suicide notes to several friends, blaming a broken romance. Eventually a woman friend and his bodyguard took him to the hospital around 2pm on Sunday. But he caused a major scene in the hospital, says one insider.

“Steve started flipping out. He told doctors he wanted to hurt himself badly. He wanted to break every bone in his body one by one.”

Compounding his problems is the fact that he has also been charged by the L.A. County District Attorney with felony possession of cocaine following his arrest on March 3 for allegedly vandalizing his neighbor’s property, whereupon cops found him in possession of coke.

Steve-O was at it again; this time lending his genitals to posterity.

After his recent stunt, pissing on the red carpet, Steve-O felt it was a good idea to place his tackle in wet cement. I am pretty sure that he would not have left much of an indent, so probably not a lot of value in it for anyone looking for enlightenment Steve-O style.

Also, wet cement is very alkaline, so what tackle he had is probably peeling rather badly right about now; now in Steve-o’s case this could be a pretty normal occurance.
