Simon Cowell Offered $144M to Stick With Idol

Simon Cowell’s American Idol contract is up, and the infamously snarky judge wants more than last year’s $36 million to stick with the series – so Fox has reportedly offered the British national a whopping $144 million per year!
Contract negotiations between Cowell and Fox’s co-producers has been leaked to the press, and the figures involved – a sum too great to comprehend for most of us – are believed to be 100 % accurate.
Fox has declined to comment about the salary negotiations, but a source close to the Idol set has revealed that the sum Cowell is expected to receive is “only a fraction” of the estimated $900 million that the reality television show rakes in yearly. The source labeled Cowell as the “lynchpin of the show,” and said that without his “dramatic tension” with fellow judge Paula Abdul, Idol wouldn’t be the hit it is today.
“[Cowell is] due for a raise,” the source added.
Cowell’s current contract with the Fox-produced reality show expires in May next year.

Simon Cowell Says He Is Not Gay

In a long interview with the UK’s DailyMail, Simon Cowell has come out and claimed he is not gay.
Normally, when a celeb makes these kind of statements, I take it with a grain of salt, but in Simon’s case, I actually believe him.
Says Simon:
“I am quite happy single. I am friends with all my exes and I enjoy their company, but I keep crazy hours.
So until I sort out what I am going to do in the next couple of years, or beyond, it is very difficult to think about something like that.
Of course, there have long been rumours, which just won’t go away, that Cowell is gay.
In this business, if you were gay it wouldn’t be a problem, would it? It is not exactly unusual to be gay in the music business or the TV business. It is 2009, after all. So if you are, you are; if you are not, you are not.’
And you are not? ‘I am not gay,’ he says, stubbing out his last cigarette and preparing to go back downstairs to the Britain’s Got Talent bear pit.”
As I said, I belive him when he says he is not gay; unless extreme narcissism falls into that category.
To me, Simon is the kind of guy who is more likely to call out his own name while performing self flagellation upon himself. I can also see him bottling any bodily emissions to keep for posterity.
Simon Cowell Thinks He Is Brad Pitt

Simon Cowell is delusional. He wants Brad Pitt to play him in a film about his life.
Who the bloody hell would pay money to see that.
Fair enough, it would be a porn film, but call me twisted if you like, but I just can’t see myself sitting through two hours of Simon Cowell pleasuring himself in front of the mirror while calling out his own name.
For some reason, Cowell thinks Pitt is a perfect representation of himself.
Says Cowell:
“I’d want Brad Pitt to play me if someone made a movie about my life. It’s believable!”
Yeah, looking at the pics above, they could be twins….
Simon Cowell Says Something RIGHT!

For once, I agree with something Simon Cowell says! I know, scary, right?
In between his usual egotastical crap in a recent interview with Parade.com, Idol judge Cowell actually made a few good points. After calling fame “fantastic,” Mr. Cowell went on a bit of a mini-rant about the celebrities of today, basically telling them to get the f**k out of the entertainment industry if they weren’t prepared to put up with the attention that comes hand-in-hand with their high profile careers.
Hear, hear!!
Mr. Cowell, in his own words: “I have zero problems being well known… Couldn’t care less if someone wants to take my picture. Anyone who complains about invasion of privacy shouldn’t work in the entertainment business. You can’t have it both ways.”
He continued with his fabulous rant, revealing that he’s just as addicted to the world of celebrity as we are here at Staralicious, and added that he thinks this new “fame epidemic” is all part of the fun of the business.
“We live right now in what I consider to be a fame epidemic,” Cowell said. “Everybody wants to be famous. That’s part of the fun. There’s something fascinating watching and hearing somebody who is obviously useless, but believes for whatever reason that they’re incredible. I find it addictive.”
I’ll have to try and remember this the next time Cowell says something horribly WRONG!

Simon Cowell, (who is not having an affair with Dannii….), is considering firing Sharon Osbourne from The X Factor, one week after offering her a new contract.
Cowell, as creator and judge on the show is said to be furious with Osbourne’s comments about Dannii Minogue, who she said is only on the show because of her looks.
Cowell, who found her comments disgusting said:
“I will sit down with Sharon after the final and discuss things then. We have got three acts who have the biggest night of their lives ahead of them, that is all I am worried about right now.”
Yeah, ditch the bitch.
