LaBeouf’s Hand Healing Well, Says Lucas

Australian actress Isabel Lucas has revealed that her Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen co-star and partner-in-crime, Shia LaBeouf, is recovering well after his car accident last month.

“We’re both fine, and Shia’s fine as well,” the 23-year-old told Access Hollywood on the red carpet of Hayden Panettiere’s Whaleman Foundation Benefit. “His hand is healing well.”

LaBeouf’s left hand was seriously injured in the July 27 crash in Hollywood, and required “extensive surgery” to fix. At one point, it was reported that the 22-year-old might have been forced to have his pinky amputated, but the actor’s rep has denied such claims.

Lucas, a passenger in LaBeouf’s vehicle at the time of the accident, was not injured, and returned to the set of Transformers 2 unharmed.

Lucas: “Shia Wasn’t Drunk”

Beatrice Lucas, the mother of actress Isabel Lucas – who was invovled in the Shia LaBeouf crash over the weekend – says her daughter is now out of hospital and back at work on the Transformers 2 set.

“There has been an enormous media thing with this in the [United] States,” Ms. Lucas told The Cairns Post.

“From Isabel’s perspective, it was just a normal car accident.”

“She’s back at work now,” Ms. Lucas added.

However, neither Beatrice or her daughter believes that LaBeouf was drunk when he crashed.

“Isabel would not get into the car with someone she thought was drink-driving,” Ms. Lucas said from her North Queensland home.

Obviously Isabel’s perception of “drunk” is a little off – police on the scene cited LaBeouf as being under the influence of alcohol, and the Indiana Jones star himself said that he simply doesn’t know how to have “just one drink.”

Earlier today, it was revealed that LaBeouf wasn’t the primary cause of the accident. A spokesperson for the L.A. Sheriff’s Department told the media that the driver of the other vehicle ran a red light; however, LaBeouf is still being charged for a misdemeanor DUI.

Accident “Not Shia’s Fault,” Say Police

Even though he was driving under the influence of alcohol – and breaking the law – last Sunday’s early morning crash was not the fault of actor Shia LaBeouf, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Sheriff, said that the Transformers star would still be charged with a misdemeanor DUI, but was not at fault when the accident occurred. Except for his blood-alcohol level, of course.

Whitmore explained: “The other car ran a red light and, if not already, they will be cited.

“The will now be listed as Party One on the report, indicating they were at fault.”

So it was mere coincidence, then, that poor ‘ol Shia got snagged by the cops for drink driving. Damn! If only that person hadn’t run a red light, he’d still be sitting pretty, driving around someone else’s girlfriend with an open stubby of beer between his knees.

Aussie Actress Isabel Lucas In Shia LeBeouf Accident

Aussie Actress Isabel Lucas, has been revealed as the mystery passenger in Shia LeBeouf’s car when he had his drunken accident.

Lucas, who is starring with LeBeouf in the Transformers sequel has been dating Adrian Grenier for several months and he was none to pleased to be answering questions about Lucas’ condition.

Lucas escaped with bruises from the accident and was treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Apparently LeBeouf and Lucas are simply friends and have been working a lot together late at night on the set and apparently just letting off some professional steam.

Uh huh! Is that what they call it now?

LeBeouf, who requires 30 days to recover from the extensive surgery on his left hand has been charged with a misdemeanor DUI.

Shia Gets Buff For Indy 4

Rising star Shia LaBeouf is working on his muscle tone, so that he can be just as buff as co-star, Harrison Ford, when filming begins on the latest installment in the Indiana Jones franchise.

He tells People: “The guy (Harrison) is still in premium shape. You don’t want to be standing next to Harrison Ford and not be jacked also.”

Exactly how is he getting in shape?

“I’ll run for an hour and then I’ll do two hours of weights. I have definitely not trained like this for anything in my life. I’m preparing like I’m going into battle.”

“[I'm also on a] protein-heavy, carb-heavy [diet].”

“I drink protein shakes nonstop – three or four a day – and I run a lot, so you get rid of the bad carbs and keep the rest so you have the energy to make it through.”
