Robin Wright Penn Files For Divorce

There’s no hope of a reconciliation between Robin Wright Penn and her estranged husband, movie great Sean Penn, with the actress filing for divorce in a California court last week.

The papers, filed by Wright Penn in a Marin County court on August 12, state that “both parties have already agreed to [shared] custody” of their son, Hopper Jack, 16, and that they have “already agreed to division of all property.”

“Irreconcilable differences” was listed as the reason behind the split.

This is the second time the Penn’s have filed papers for a divorce since their 1996 marriage, with the couple previously reconciling as recently as May of this year.

Lawyers for both parties weren’t readily available for comment.

“Sean Added More Sex,” Says Franco

Before Sean Penn altered the script in new movie Milk, James Franco says there was only “one real [gay] kissing scene”.

“In the original script I read, there was only one real kissing scene,” Franco told Elle magazine.

“A month after [director] Gus [Van Sant] asked me to do [the movie], they sent me another script,” Franco added, “and on Page 5 there was a full-on love scene. And I was like, ‘Gus, what the heck?’ He says, ‘Well, it was Sean’s idea.’”

Well, I guess Sean’s a big believer in the saying, “Sometimes, one kiss just isn’t enough!”

Pitt And Penn Are Not Friends

Sean (Moody) Penn is butting heads with Brad (Mellow) Pitt since Brad took over the Heath Ledger’s role in Tree of Life.

Possibly making matters worse is the fact that Sean is a friend of Jennifer Aniston.

Tensions are running high on the set of Tree of Life. Brad Pitt, who took over Heath Ledger’s role in the adventure film after Heath’s death, is butting heads with co-star Sean Penn, 47. “They’re far from friends,” says an insider close to Brad, 44. “Sean is a bossy kind of guy, and that’s just not Brad’s style. He’s mellower. So spending time together has been a big challenge.”

Thankfully, they don’t have many scenes with each other. “A big theme in the movie is man alone in nature,” notes the insider. “It’s not really a buddy film, and that’s probably for the best.” Their personality clash isn’t the only issue. “Sean is friends with Jennifer Aniston,” says the insider. “Her short film in 2006, Room 10, starred Sean’s wife, Robin Wright Penn. They attended the premiere, cheering Jen on.”

So don’t look for the Hollywood heavyweights to be making too many personal appearances together when Tree of Life hits theaters next year. “Brad hasn’t gone out of his way to praise Sean since filming started,” says the insider, “and that speaks volumes.”
