Scarlett Talks Relationships

In a recent interview, Lost In Translation actress Scarlett Johansson spilled the beans on relationships, and “that rumoured fling” with Justin Timberlake…

On relationships:
“It’s important not to lose who you are in a relationship just because it’s nice to cuddle with somebody. You have to constantly say ‘Does this person make me happy? Am I comfortable with who I am in this relationship’. For true happiness, you’re confident that he’s not gonna let you down or make you feel stupid - he’s, like, your partner. That’s how you know you’re happy.”

“But I think you should be mysterious and flirtatious. You should always have some mystery in a relationship. You don’t wanna know what the person’s thinking all the time. And you don’t want him to know what you’re thinking all the time.”

On the “Justin Timberlake” rumours:
“We live in a world today where if two people are single - and one’s a guy and one’s a girl and they’re both famous - you’re going to be linked with somebody. If it’s somebody one week, it’s going to be somebody else the next week. It’s either me or Jessica Biel.”

On being single:
“When I’m single, I don’t focus. I focus on a guy if he’s a boyfriend, but I don’t focus on finding a boyfriend.”

But she didn’t actually deny a fling with Justin…

Actress Scarlett Johansson on filming with Aussie Eric Bana in new flick, The Other Boleyn Girl…

Scarlett & Natalie Are Full Of Praise

Young actresses Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman had nothing but praise for each other, after working together on new film, The Other Boleyn Girl.

Here’s what Scarlett had to say about Nat:

“I first became involved [with the film] because Natalie was doing it. She’s a wonderful actor, just a great scene partner.”

“I guess I had never really worked with a young woman my age. She’s so professional. And she’s not pretentious or anything, just a really nice girl. It also helped that she’s from New York.”

And Natalie on Scarlett:

“The thing about her is she’s an amazing actress. You look at her and instantly believe you are in the place you are; she makes it immediately real.”

“She’s so supportive and giving and passionate about her work. She’s really direct about everything she wants or feels, whereas I am a little more timid.”

“It’s so rare that we get to work with actresses our own ages. You can relate at a friend level: We’re at the same places in our lives; we were able to talk about boyfriends and go out dancing.”

And dance they did! Rumour has it that the pair went clubbing together nearly every night during the filming stint. Sounds like they had fun…
