Ryan Reynolds & Scarlett Johansson to Adopt

Ryan Reynolds has announced that he and Scarlett Johansson are planning to adopt.

The Vancouver-born actor and his 24-year-old wife aren’t joining the Hollywood adoption band wagon, though, and have no intention of becoming the next ‘Brangelina,’ with a child from every third-world country on the globe.

Reynolds told British Glamour magazine: “My oldest brother is adopted and I have every intention of adopting at some time.

“I’m very grateful for having my brother in my life. I couldn’t be more pro-adoption. There are plenty of kids in the world that need it.”

Johansson: “My Lips Are Taken”

Her juicy mamma’s might have inspired Katy Perry to pen her hit song I Kissed A Girl, but don’t expect Scarlett Johansson to lend them to the artist.

“That’s very flattering,” Johansson told Allure when she found out just how inspiring her lips had been to Perry’s hit. “But my lips are kind of taken.”

Johansson added that until it was pointed out to her, she’d had “no idea” about the song.

“I should get a cut [of Perry's earnings]!” she joked.

Scarlett Johansson & Ryan Reynolds Married

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have married, the actress’ rep has confirmed today.

The surprise nuptials took place on Saturday night at a “remote wilderness resort” outside Vancouver, Canada. Those in attendance included Johansson’s mother, Melanie Sloan, and her brother, Adrian Johansson.

The ‘Other Boleyn Girl’ star and Reynolds announced their engagement on May 5 this year, but had kept their wedding plans private.

Cruz & Johansson Attend ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’ Premiere

Their on-screen kiss might have been more stagnant than steamy, but co-stars Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz certainly set the red carpet at Westwood on fire, when they attended the premiere for their much anticipated Woody Allen flick, Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

The world premiere for the film was held at the Cannes Film Festival earlier in the year. Those of you who are up-to-date with the gossip may remember that Johansson wasn’t in attendance in Cannes, because of her diva-like antics.

Both actresses were eager to put the past tensions behind them, however, and were only too happy to pose for the photogs together.

Johansson & Cruz Label Lesbian Kiss “Unsexy”

Looks like that famed lesbian kiss in the new Woody Allen flick Vicky Cristina Barcelona wasn’t all it was cracked up to be… according to the two actresses doing the smooching, Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz.

Both Johansson and Cruz were less than impressed with the now infamous kiss, with Johansson even going as far as to say that the entire pashing scene was “unsexy.”

Johansson said: “[When we shot the scene], there were like 60 crewmen [sitting around] eating salami sandwiches!

“It’s really the least sexy thing you can ever imagine!”

When asked what her thoughts on the kiss were, Cruz replied, “Really, Scarlett and I have run out of lines to say about that.”

Added the Sahara star: “We’re calling Woody to give us some material. People love that subject. The only thing which is honest, the set was very crowded that day. But I don’t have anything else to tell you about it.”

Critics Label Johansson’s Album “Forgettable”

Looks like Scarlett Johansson will have to revert to her day job!

The actress-turned-singer’s debut album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, has been slammed by the critics, who’ve labelled the star’s recordings as “fussy and forgettable.”

Johansson’s 40-minute-long CD is a collection of Tom Waits covers, and was released in stores this week. The first single released from the album, Falling Down, seems to have predicted what was to come for the Boleyn Girl actress, with her career in the music industry looking unsteady after so many lukewarm reviews.

Diva Scarlett Kicked From Cannes

Somebody’s getting too big for their boots…

Actress Scarlett Johansson was left sulking at home in NYC after her diva-like demands to attend Cannes were turned down by a film studio, while her Vicky Cristina Barcelona co-stars, Penelope Cruz and Rebecca Hall, soaked up the glitz and glamour of the Cannes Film Festival’s infamous red carpet.

Johansson was supposed to be in France promoting Woody Allen’s latest movie, which sees the 23-year-old making out with Spaniard Cruz (among others), but her outrageous demands saw her ditched by Warner Brothers Films and left at home.

Just what did the diva demand? According to the French branch of the film company, she demanded “her own exclusive make-up consultant at a cost of 5,000 Euros a day,” and “her own private hotel”, well away from where all the other stars were staying in the heart of Cannes.

Just hours after revealing to the world that she and beau Ryan Reynolds are engaged, actress Scarlett Johansson was showing off her brand spankin’ sparkler.

Johansson flashed her new bling – a massive diamond solitaire engagement ring – as she walked the red carpet at the Costume Institute Gala in New York City earlier this evening.

Her new fiance, Ryan, couldn’t attend, as he’s currently on location filming The Proposal, so the Match Point star (and her ring!) was escorted by fashion giants Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce.

Scarlett Johansson Engaged

It’s been confirmed: Scarlett Johansson and her 31-year-old Canadian beau of one year, Ryan Reynolds, are engaged.

The 23-year-old Lost In Translation star, who gave rep Marcel Pariseau the all-clear to inform the press overnight, is said to be “thrilled” at the engagement. As yet, no wedding date has been set.

Reynolds, who is currently working on a new film titled – conveniently enough - The Proposal, apparently popped the question to Johansson in private recently.
