Practical Magic actress Sandra Bullock and her husband, Jesse James, were involved in a car accident in Gloucester on Friday night.

Bullock, who was in town to film new movie The Proposal, and her Monster Garage hubby, were riding in a privately driven vehicle at around 9:50 p.m. when a drunk driver jumped lanes on East Main Street and “smashed into their front end.” Fortunately, no one was injured.

Gloucester Police Lt. Gerry Cook said: “They were shaken up, needless to say… But they were fine – he was hugging her. Jess and Sandra were hugging. They said they were fine, they didn’t need medical attention. There were quite a few people snapping pictures of them.”

The famous couple walked away from the accident site by themselves, without being examined by a paramedic.

Lucille P. Gatchell, the 64-year-old driver in the Subaru who hit Bullock and James’ car, was tested on site by police and blew a .20 on the breathalyzer… two and a half times over the legal limit!!

She was arrested and taken straight to the station, where Gatchell was then booked for DUI and “failure to stay in marked lanes.” Gatchell was released after being charged and will be arraigned on her charges on Tuesday.

When the 64-year-old found out who it was she’d hit, Cook said she started laughing hysterically.

“She started laughing, she was really giddy,” he said.

A pretty cool claim-to-fame for a 6-odd year-old I guess… she’s the only one in the world at this point that can say she hit Sandra Bullock with her vehicle and walked away with an itty bitty conviction.

Actress Sandra Bullock and her 10-year-old step-son were forced to watch on in horror, as a crazed stalker attempted to run over husband Jesse James.

Police sources say that Marcia Valentine, a woman obsessed with the Forces of Nature star, “attempted 3 or 4 times to run Jesse James over with her silver Mercedes” outside the couple’s Orange County home late Sunday night.

Although Jesse was never actually hit during the attack, it was a frightening experience for Sandra and James’ young son to witness.

After trying unsuccessfully to injure James, Valentine then got out of her car and “laid in the driveway and wouldn’t move.”

When police arrived on the scene, the stalker had already taken off. An extensive man-hunt was untaken, and Valentine was apprehended early Monday morning, where she remains in custody.

Bullock’s rep released a statement to TMZ a short while ago:

“This incident did occur. Both Jesse James and Sandra Bullock are fine and it is now in the hands of the authorities.”

Creator Ryan Murphy says that he’s currently working on writing a part for Mads, who is a big fan of the show.

“I’m going to write something for Madonna, who is a fan of the show and I would love for her to do something with Rosie.”
Nicole Kidman has already signed up for a role on the show, and Sandra Bullock has also expressed her interest in a guest spot.

“Sandy said she wanted to come on last year and she didn’t. She wants to come on the last episode and she wants to get her whole body done, or something,” Murphy said.

When you are aspiring to be a celebrity, there are a couple of telling signs that you haven’t quite made it.

Sandra Bullock’s husband and Monster Garage host and co-producer Jesse James has been fined $271,250 for violating California’s clean-air rules.

No this doesn’t have anything to do with his mouth.

The fine was imposed by the California Air Resources Board, which alleges 50 of James’ custom-built chopper bikes violated rules by not having state certified emissions equipment on their exhaust systems.

As a result the bikes sold between 1998 and 2005, were giving off hydrocarbons at up to 10 times the state limits, said Paul Jacobs, chief of the board’s Mobile Sources Enforcement branch.

James, who also hosts and co-produces Motorcycle Mania, was not available for comment.

Well hopefully now he will build some bikes that actually conform to the pollution rules. It’s not that hard mate, you can hide a lot of the emission gear without making your bikes look any more puss than they already are.

Sandra Bullock had a DIVA moment on the red carpet at the premiere of Infamous.

Sandra Bullock lost her temper at the premiere of Infamous when a reporter from one of the beloved celebrity weeklies asked if she has a baby on the way.

Bullock whipped around, got right in the reporter’s face, and pointing her finger, yelled: “Oh my god that is just a disgusting question. And you know what? What if I couldn’t have kids? You know what? That’s the way you make women feel when you ask them that question.”

Now this should in no way suggest that Sandra is infertile, but as Defamer notes, minutes later she responded to an usher’s polite offer to show her to her seat by snapping, “Thanks, but last time I checked, having stagnant ovaries doesn’t make you go blind.”
