U.K. action star Jason Statham made an appearance on Australian variety show Rove last night, promoting his new movie, The Bank Job.

Statham has been in the country since Wednesday, when he walked the red carpet in Sydney for the Australian premiere of his latest film, based on the real-life London robbery of 1971 which allegedly involved the Queen’s daughter, Princess Margaret.

The Bank Job opens in cinemas across Australia on July 31.

The stunt appeared on last Sunday’s Rove Live show — the same episode that had Get Smart’s Steve Carrell and Anne Hathaway live on stage, after attending the Australian premiere of their new movie.

As a side note, the whole dry-retching thing came about because two of the Aussie comedians who are regulars on the show were dared by host Rove McManus to ride a rollarcoaster for the entire broadcast time, whilst also consuming hotdogs and milkshakes in the hopes that they would up-chuck on live television.

Yeah… it was funny at the time. ;-)
