Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson, Hollywood’s latest on-again, off-again couple, are reportedly back on. Again.

The pair, who last split in May of 2008, are said to have crossed the “friends” barrier once more, with Hudson and her 5-year-old son Ryder spending “all of Sunday” with Wilson at his Malibu home.

“They’re [so] back together,” a source told People.com.

Wilson and Hudson first began dating after filming You, Me and Dupree together in September 2006, before parting ways the following year.

Another Hollywood couple has called it quits. Just days after rumours of their engagement surfaced online, Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have split – for good this time.

The on-again, off-again couple rekindled their relationship only two months ago in Miami, but have now decided to go their separate ways.

“It was a pretty bad breakup,” a friend of Wilson said. “Owen said it was a tough one. He definitely doesn’t want to dwell on it. He wants to put it behind him.”

Meanwhile, a source close to Hudson has a different take on the split, saying that it came about after Wilson was seen on two consecutive nights chatting up women at a bar in NYC.

“[Owen] was pretty chummy with the ladies … he was certainly doing some sweet talking,” the source said. “He looked happy to be there hanging with them.”

Added the source: “[Kate] feels dumb thinking [her relationship with Wilson] was so serious.”

Last week, the engagement rumours came to a head when Hudson was spotted wearing a Tiffany & Co. ring on and off the set of her new film, Bride Wars. Sources have since cleared up this little misunderstanding, revealing that the ring was a prop, and had not been given to Hudson by Wilson.

The ‘butterscotch stallion’ is believed to have proposed to his blonde beau on her 29th birthday last week, after he completed the filming of his latest flick, Marley and Me (co-starred with Jennifer Aniston).

So far, the reports say the newly engaged couple are planning a lavish wedding, set to take place next year.

Speculation of the engagement surfaced a few days ago when Hudson was spotted out and about with a large diamond ring on her left hand.

No comment has been made by either of the star’s representatives.

The pair first hooked up back in 2006 when they filmed You, Me and Dupree, but split last year. They have only recently rekindled their flame.

Old bendy nose, Owen Wilson seems to be mending quite well.

A popular guest at Playboy Mansion parties, Owen must have forgotten where he was the other day.

The Miami Herald reports that Owen was at Miami’s Purdy Lounge last weekend and spying a hottie across the room, went over and asked her to be the meat in a sandwich with him and a friend.

I don’t think the friend he had in mind was Kate Hudson either.

Oh yeah, did I mention that Owen’s good bend friend Vince Vaughn was in town at the time of the proposal.

Owen Wilson Refuses Rehab

After being released from hospital for attempting suicide, actor Owen Wilson was expected to head straight to a rehab facility to deal with his issues.

However, the troubled star is said to be refusing to go, insisting that there’s nothing much wrong with him – despite trying to kill himself last month – and that he’d rather recover on his own.

Instead of rehab, Owen has hired a $750-a-day “sober companion” to aid in his mental and physical recovery, and is said to be taking this companion away on vacation in the near future.

A source close to the star said: “[Owen] doesn’t think he really has a problem.”

Sounds like he’s got a long road ahead of him.

Owen Wilson Out of Hospital

After spending less than a week in hospital for injuries relating to a suicide attempt, comedic actor Owen Wilson has now been discharged and is resting at home; however, he’s far from alone.

A source close to the troubled star said that while he’s thankful to be alive, he’s still too fragile mentally to be trusted at home by himself, and will be under 24-hour surveillance until he’s well again.

“Owen is in bad mental shape but said he is thankful to be alive,” the source said. “He knows he came close to ending his life, and he is happy that he was saved from himself. He is basically at home with people watching him 24/7.”

Wilson’s rep has declined to comment.

Kate’s Tears For Owen

Owen Wilson’s former girlfriend, Kate Hudson, was visibly distraught when she was plucked from her latest film set in Chinatown after receiving the news that the actor had attempted suicide.

“She looked upset,” an eyewitness said. “She was on the phone, pacing back and forth. Then her handlers came out, and covered her with an umbrella, and she was ushered into a white SUV and she took off.”

Hudson was in the middle of filming for her new flick, Bachelor No. 2 with Dane Cook when she heard of Owen’s injuries.

Owen Wilson DID Attempt Suicide

Extra is reporting that actor Owen Wilson did in fact attempt suicide on the weekend, and a source close to the star said that it shouldn’t come as a surprise, given his emotional state over the last few months.

The source said that Wilson has been depressed now “for the last few months,” but was quick to point out that it had nothing to do with a broken relationship.

In other Owen news…

The actor is currently under observation at Cedars-Sinai Hospita in Los Angeles, and will remain under 24-hour nurse surveillance for the duration of his stay, suspected to be up to four days.

Sources at the hospital have said that Wilson is staying in a ward known as the “celebrity” unit, which apparently have bigger, more extravagant rooms than is available to the normal Joe Blogs.
