Mischa Barton Arrested For DUI

TMZ is reporting that former The O.C. actress, Mischa Barton, has been arrested “on suspicion of DUI, possession of marijuana and a controlled substance, and driving without a valid license.”

A press release issued by the L.A. Country Sheriff’s Department says that the star was “pulled over at around 2:45 a.m. this morning” while driving in West Hollywood, California. According to police on the scene, Barton was “seen straddling two lanes of traffic and failed to signal when making a turn.”

She was pulled over by the cops, and was quickly found out to be an “unlicensed driver and was driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.”

Mischa is currently still being held in custody in Los Angeles, where a $10,000 bail has been set. She is said to have been “very cooperative” and “no trouble at all.”

The O.C. Kids Are Egotisical

Former The O.C. actor, Tate Donovan (who played Jimmy Cooper), has slammed his young co-stars on the hit soap, claiming that they were all “incredibly difficult” to work with.

The veteran television star, who once worked on the Friends set, said that many of the “on-set dramas” spoken about in the media were caused by young actors Mischa Barton, Benjamin McKenzie, Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody.

Donovan said: “They were really tough. Directors were leaving the set and saying, ‘I’m never going to work with (them again).’”

“I think they all wanted movie careers and did not want to be on a television show. All four of them were, like, ‘This show is ruining my career.’”

And since the hit teen show was axed from television, how many of them actually still have a career?? Hmm… guess being an actor on a tv show wasn’t so bad after all.

I like an intellectual guy, because I love to read. If they like movies, books and music, we’re pretty alright.”

Mischa Barton’s New Lesbian Role

Former The OC actress Mischa Barton is turning lesbian again for her new movie role, which will see her locking lips with a former swimsuit model.

Shantel VanSanten, who will play Barton’s lover in the film, was a contestant on reality show Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search, and was one of the first girls eliminated. Obviously she didn’t let that faze her, and she’ll now be appearing alongside one of Hollywood’s “It” girls.

There’s not much of a script invovled, except for the fact that it’ll be two girls pashing. Basically, Barton and VanSanten’s characters meet at a T.A.T.U. concert (you know, those two Russian girls who pretended to be lesbians a while back?), and then fall in love. As you do.

Somehow, I don’t think this high-waisted, big-hipped jeans style is going to take off… that’s what I’m hoping for, anyway!

But in all seriousness, I feel for the girl. Jeans don’t seem to be her thing - she looks awful in tight skinnies, and awful in these diaper monsters… maybe she should stick to dresses?

If she has a stylist, she should sack them, and if she doesn’t, she’s in desperate need of one!

Mischa Barton’s Sun Safe

Former The OC star Mischa Barton will appear in a new advertising campaign for Superdrug’s “Safe Skin” awareness publicity drive, alerting teens to the importance of sun safety.

Barton will pose for in-store posters, urging everyone to protect themselves from deadly sunlight, which causes skin cancer.

She said: “I spend a lot of my life in the sun and know how important it is to be sun aware and protect your skin.”

“I hope that my support of Superdrug’s important campaign will ensure everyone stays safe in the sun this summer whether at home, on holiday or even on the beaches of California.”

Mischa & Lindsay at War??

Well, there’s a video of a little “exchange of words” between Mischa Barton and some paps regarding Lindsay, so decide for yourself!

If your internet is slow, or you can’t be bothered to watch the clip, basically, Mischa makes a snide comment to the paps, when they tell her that Lindsay Lohan is in the salon she herself is on her way to.

Mischa responded: “Oh, she is?…What a wonderful salon world!”
