Kevin Federline, the onetime husband of pop star Britney Spears, has certainly packed on the pounds since their divorce, with the wannabe rapper nearly unrecognisable at a California sporting event on Monday.

Still with his trademark shaved head, a not-so-svelt Federline shocked onlookers at the Ryan Sheckler X Games Celebrity Classic, with one employee remarking, “Man, that’s a belly on him! That’s K-Fed?!?”

Federline, 31, was seen sipping on cocktails and smoking cigarettes with new partner, Victoria Prince, at the event on Monday; however, it wasn’t Prince who stuck up for her man, but Federline’s baby mama and ex, Shar Jackson.

“It’s daddy weight!” Jackson told Usmagazine.com. “When you are a full time parent, sometimes you can’t focus on you. If gaining a few pounds is your only problem, life’s not too bad!”

If that’s the case, then it looks like Federline needs to hang back on his caviar and champagne diet, because, like the good proverb says, less IS more. For the first time since splitting with Britney in November of 2006, Kevin Federline has come clean and told what he says is “his” side of the story.

The wannabe rapper spoke candidly to People magazine about his tumultuous last couple of years, dishing the dirt on everything from ex-wife Britney Spears, to his children, and that now infamous night when Spears locked herself in a bathroom with their youngest son and threatened suicide.

P: Do you remember when you first met Britney?

K: I met her at a club in Hollywood, Joseph’s. Our eyes met and that was it. We just hit it off right away. I learned real fast how much of a whirlwind the press and everything was.

P: What are your happiest memories of the marriage?

K: Well, getting married. I never thought that I would get married but it wound up happening. That was a really, really, happy, exciting moment. I pretty much realized that I was giving my life to her, and I was doing it without question.

P: What went wrong?

K: It’s hard enough to be in a marriage, and then have a kid, then kids, it changes everything. For me, I’d become more concerned with my children. Not that I ignored Britney, but my kids are always most important… I mean, we were having complications. I didn’t give her an ultimatum, but I was trying to work stuff out with her, and she didn’t even talk to me or anything and went behind my back and filed [for divorce]. [I was] completely blindsided.

P: A lot of people assumed you fought for custody of the kids because of money.

K: My first question to [my lawyer] was, “Am I ever going to be able to see my children?” I told him that I would spend every last dime that I had to make sure that my children are okay. That’s all that mattered. I didn’t know how much power Britney had. That really scared me.

P: How did you react in January when Britney locked herself in the bathroom with Jayden and was later taken to the hospital on a gurney?

K: That whole night is a blur. You want to talk about one of my lowest points of depression, that was probably one of them. I was very, very worried for her ’cause I care about her. That’s the mother of my children. Just because I’m not in love with her doesn’t mean that I don’t love her. I’m definitely rooting for her. There’s nothing more that I want than for her to be in the best health and doing what she loves to do.

P: Are things getting better?

K: Oh, man, it’s totally turning around. It works out that [the kids] get to see her. There’s structure over there, there’s structure at my house. We’re trying to keep the same type of schedule. It doesn’t have to be completely perfect, but the foundation is there.

Her pals say Britney’s bloated stomach is nothing more than excess “water retention,” but sources close to Spears have revealed today that she is, in fact, pregnant, as we here at Staralicious have speculated.

The 26-year-old, whose recent appearances on the hit show How I Met Your Mother have been applauded, is reportedly desperate for a daughter, and hopes the baby she’s carrying now will finally give her the girl she’s always wanted.

However, the real shock isn’t the fact that Spears is pregnant for a third time, but that she’s pregnant with ex-husband Kevin Federline’s baby… again!

“Brit’s desperate for a baby girl and she always wanted Kevin to be the daddy,” the source said. “She wants her daughter to have the same father as her sons and for them all to be one happy family.”

Looks like Brit Brit will have to forego new underwear for another month! The pop tart and mother-of-two has just been ordered to pay ex-hubby Kevin Federline’s $375,000 of legal bills, according to the latest court documents.

Scott Gordon, the Los Angeles Court Commissioner, said that the billing of Spears was “reasonable,” because Britney’s actions “caused the great majority of litigation.”

Spears’ lawyer, Stacy Phillips, is disputing the charges, claiming that Mark Vincent Kaplan (Federline’s attorney) had over-charged Brit Brit simply because she was being ordered to pay. Last week, Phillips asked that Federline be liable to fit some of the money for the bills, which are in excess of a quarter of a million dollars.

Phillips claims that Federline’s $2,000 tip on a mere $365 dinner tab suggests that he can afford to pay, at least in part, “for the diligent work being done on his behalf.” However, if the family court believes that one party is not financially stable enough to pay their legal bills, the court has it in their power to transfer payment responsibility to the wealthier party (in this case, Spears).

Previously, Federline has claimed in court documents that he has “no steady income,” while ex-wife Britney Spears earns more than $8 million per annum.

As the dust settles on Britney Spears’ weekend of mayhem, the shocking true stories of just what went down in her house during the hours she was spent locked in herbathroom, are starting to emerge.

One of the emergency services officers on the scene has told the press that at one point, the singer threatened to kill herself in front of her children if she wasn’t left in peace.

Britney, enraged and sobbing, screamed at the officers first to arrive at her Beverly Hills mansion: “I’ve had enough. I’m going to kill myself.”

Over the course of the 3-hour stand-off with police, Britney locked herself and her two sons, Seam Preston and Jayden James, in the master bedroom of her home, shouting out repeated threats of suicide. ÂÂ

“Get out of here,” she was heard yelling. “Leave me and my babies alone. Get out or I’m going to f***ing kill myselt. I’ll do it. I’ll f***ing do it.”

The officer said of her threats: “We had every reason to believe she could take her own life or the lives of her sons. That was considered a very definite possibility and it became clear her life and those of her children could be at immediate risk.

“A negotiator and two of her assistants tried to coax her out but her demeanour swung from reasonably lucid to hysterical to rambling and incoherent. In the end, there was no option but to smash through her door and take her into protective custody.”

Some time during her ramblings and threats, Britney found time to make a phone call to ex-husband Kevin Federline, offering him $100 million of her fortune if he agreed to giving her sole custody of the children right then and there. Kevin was so distraught and concerned by the call that he alerted authorities and his legal team, before rushing straight over to Spears’ mansion.

Britney could end up facing criminal charges for the weekend’s episode if police toxicology tests come back positive for illegal and/or dangerous substances. She may also face a comtempt of court hearing for failing to hand over her children at the designated time. ÂÂ

This was a decision we all knew had to come at some point, especially after Britney’s psychotic episode yesterday. Shortly after Britney was taken away to hospital, Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan called for “an emergency hearing” in the ongoing custody struggle.

In the hearing, which lasted a mere 40 minutes, Britney’s visitation rights were “suspended pending further order of the court,” awarding sole custody to ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Police were called to the residence of Britney Spears this evening, after the singer refused to hand over her two sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline when her court-mandated custody hours were up.

The Toxic singer was supposed to hand over Sean and Jayden at 7 p.m. PST, after having the children with her since noon on Thursday. When Spears failed to show up some 90 minutes later (where Federline’s bodyguards were waiting), the police were called.

“There have been police sent to that residence,” a LAPD officer revealed a short time ago. “We don’t know any more at this time, but apparently they’ve arrived.”

Mark Vincent Kaplan, Federline’s lawyer, was seen by onlookers leaving Spears’ residence at around 9 p.m. this evening. While there has been no comment made from Federline’s camp at this stage, Britney’s attorney, Sorrell Trope, has told Usmagazine.com, “In a normal case when someone shows up with a certified court order saying the kids need to be somewhere else, the police see to it that the order is obeyed. But that is in a normal case.”

According to a media update given a few moments ago, the LAPD are still inside Spears’ residence, trying to resolve this issue. The local fire department has also been called to the scene, but there’s no word as yet on why it’s taking them so long to place the children into Federline’s care.

LAPD Officer Jason Lee (who is on the scene) gave a brief statement on the situation: “The officers are still there. They are trying to resolve this peacefully and legally, according to the court order. They’ve been there since 8 p.m. and it is in regards to Britney Spears’ custody battle.”

Who would have thought that Jamie Lynn’s knight in shining armour would be none other than her older sister’s ex-husband, wannabe rapper Kevin Federline?

According to sources close to both the Spears and Federline families, the father of two has “reached out to his former sister-in-law,” offering assistance as Jamie Lynn and her family face the masses of the world media.

“Kevin has long thought of Jamie Lynn as a little sister,” a source close to the Federline family told OK!. The source adds that K-Fed conversed with both Jamie Lynn and her mother before news of her pregnancy hit the gossip world, and was said to have been “heartbroken because he was concerned about what it would mean for Jamie Lynn’s future.”

Now that he’s gotten used to the news, Kevin “just wants to be part of the support system.”

Surprise, surprise! Pop tart Britney Spears is officially unreliable! She was “unable” to attend this morning’s court-ordered deposition (which she agreed to only yesterday), citing “an illness” for the reason she didn’t turn up.

“I was told of a general [medical] condition, and [Spears] felt she couldn’t attend,” Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin Federline’s lawyer said this morning.

Brit Brit’s pal, Sam Lufti, confirmed the mystery illness, telling People.com in an email earlier: “She’s sick, both physically and high anxiety. Millions of press outside. It’s too much.”

At this morning’s hearing, a new date for Spears’ deposition was selected, but wasn’t revealed to the press in the hopes she’ll actually turn up this time. Kaplan said that this was the fourth time Britney had evaded her deposition, and told the media that he “will pursue a court sanction against the singer” for skipping out yet again.

I wonder if her mystery illness had something to do with these shots, taken a few days earlier during an outing to Starbucks. Was something slipped into her double shot macchiato, do you think? Or maybe it was an allergic reaction to the cheap fibres used to make that tacky wig??

After her latest driving troubles over the weekend (where she ran a red light with the kids in the car), I dial up this morning and find that she’s just failed one of her random drug’s tests appointed by the courts in her custody case!

It’s just one lot of crap after another for Spears, isn’t it? The Gimme More singer tested positive to drugs in her system, but a source close to the star claims “it was a false reading.”

This latest issue, coupled with her driving mistake a few days ago, has prompted Kevin Federline and his lawyer to request the forthcoming hearing be fast-tracked. Apparently, they’re “really concerned” for her children’s well-being, and feel it’s in their best interests to remove them from her entirely.
