Keira Knighltey wowed fans at the New York premiere of The Duchess, walking the red carpet looking every bit as glam and elegant as the film’s title character.
The British actress was in Toronto earlier in the week to promote the film, where she made the shock announcement that she would not sign on to do any more Pirates movies. Guess that means she’ll stick to period pieces in the future.

Disney may be considering making another Pirates of the Caribbean film, but star actress Keira Knightley has confirmed that she won’t be a part of it.
While in Toronto promoting her new period film, The Duchess, Knightley made a surprise statement to the waiting press, telling them that her “pirating days” are over.
“I think it was wonderful and an amazing opportunity and those filmes were just extraordinary and I was extremely lucky to be a part of them,” Knightley said. “But no. I think my pirating days may be over.”

BFF’s Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller attended the premiere of the new film Edge of Love together, which was held at the 62nd Edinburgh International Film Festival.
As some of you may recall, the script for the film was written by Knightley’s mother, and was originally supposed to star Lindsay Lohan, before the serial rehab-er dropped out, and Sienna took her place.
The major drawcard for the movie, which is loosely based on the life of poet Dylan Thomas, is the alleged threesome between Dylan, his wife Caitlin (played by Miller), and close friend Vera (played by Knightley).

Keira Knightley’s never been a fan of having her picture taken by the pesky paparazzi, and has spoken out on her dislike quite colourfully in the past; however, since filming Atonement, the British actress has decided to take the Aboriginal approach to photographs.
Keira Knightley Topless in Interview Magazine

The star of Pirates of the Caribbean and new flick Atonement, Keira Knightley, shed her training bra to pose topless for the latest issue of Interview magazine.
All flat-chested jokes aside, I’m impressed that as an A-Lister and one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actresses of today, Keira has still refused to give in to the pressure and have a boob job. Props to her for steering clear of plastic surgery!

Keira Knightley: “Newspapers F-ck Me Off!”

While I’ll easily admit to being a big Knightley fan, I sometimes find myself cringing over the things she says in the media, in particular, this extract from her latest interview with Elle magazine.
In it, the Atonement star swears, rants on newspapers, has an argument with herself, and disses cell phones. Personally, I love my mobile, especially now I can even get my celeb gossip while texting (shamelessly plugs the new Staralicious mobile feature!)
Keira’s £20K Wardrobe Malfunction

British actress Keira Knightley, most famous for her roles in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, has just revealed that she was forced to break a £20,000 designer diamond necklace on the set of her new film, Atonement, after it became stuck on her neck.
On the day of the rather costly wardrobe malfunction, filming came to a standstill for 45 minutes, as the crew desperately tried to pry the necklace away from Knightley’s bony neck. Apparently, the clasp on the expensive Chanel pendant jammed during the filming of one particular scene, and the star’s assistants had no choice but to cut the piece of jewellery in two to remove it.

Just a few fluffy shots of actress Keira Knightley to start off my day of posting…
Here she is, at a photocall for her latest flick, Atonement, which is making it’s premiere at the 64th Annual Venice Film Festival. I posted a link to the trailer a while back, and I’m actually really looking forward to seeing the film. It looks great!
And speaking of things looking great, so does Keira in these shots! The dress is gorgeous, but then again, I’ve rarely seen a premiere photo of Ms. Knightley where she’s not wearing something totally fabulous!

Keira Knightley’s Abusive Rant on Airbrushing

Don’t mess with Keira Knightley! She’s certainly an actress with quite a lot to say, and isn’t afraid to use vulgar language to express her opinions.
In a recent interview with Radio Times, the Atonement star let the world know just what she thinks of the beautifying “airbrush” technique, and also had a few remarks to those dying to become famous like her…
“It frightens me when kids go ‘I want to be famous’,” Knightley began. “Why? Because you can get into a restaurant? You know what? If you book, you can get into a restaurant! ‘I want to be rich and famous.’ Go and work on the stock market.”
Her candid interview didn’t end there, either. She still had loads to say about just what makes her magazine covers look so hot.
Keira explained that whenever she meets someone in the street, their initial response is to tell her, “Gosh, you’re pretty.” As if she’s never heard that before! Her usual reply is something along the lines of, “Thanks. I’ve got good genes!”
“OK, I’m on the cover of a magazine but somebody else does the hair, and the make-up, and airbrushes the f*ck out of me – it’s not me, it’s something other people have created,” the actress said simply.
I like that she’s not afraid to use foul language in an interview, and that she doesn’t try and hide the person she really is, but if she’s so adamant that kids shouldn’t aspire to be famous and rich (like her!), and suggests making money on the stock market, why doesn’t she do just that? I mean, she’s said quite a number of times she hates the Hollywood scene and wants to give up acting, so what’s stopping her?
Obviously, she’s a little more fond of the publicity these days, than she was three months ago…
