Superman Returns actress Kate Bosworth turned her sights on helping the environment recently, purchasing a new Toyota Prius Hybrid car to “greenify” herself.

Next thing you know, she’ll be stripping off in front of the camera for another new PETA ad, telling us all that being a vegetarian is healthy… while she sits there in her barely skeletal form, hidden beneath the side salad.

Kate Bosworth Is Saved!

The sickly thin Superman Returns actress has put on weight, and is finally starting to get back the wonderful figure she had back in her surfing Blue Crush days!

While chilling out on the beach in Hawaii recently, Kate looked a lot less skeletol than usual, with enough “flesh” on her bones now that she could possibly turn it into some nice muscle tone, if she headed to the gym.

At least we don’t have to fear for her blowing away in the breeze anymore…

Is Kate Thinner Than Nicole??

Kate Bosworth isn’t doing herself any favours…

She won’t do any interviews which question her weight, yet she allows herself to be photographed looking like a stick insect.

Here she is on the set of her new movie, The Girl in the Park, with a set of pins to rival Nicole Richie’s!

Which brings me to my question: Is Kate Bosworth thinner than Nicole Richie??

I know Nicole’s started to fatten herself up a bit of late, so it could very well be true now that Kate IS thinner than Nicole…

Kate’s Blue Crush director, John Stockwell, had a few things to say about Kate and her weight issues, when asked about her success in the Superman Returns movie in a recent interview…
“I love Kate. All anyone ever asks me about is her weight now. I’m like, ‘I don’t know. I guess she is thin.’ Like, what can I say? She was thin when she came in and read for me first and I was like, ‘You’re never going to be a surfer. You don’t look like…’ And she was like, ‘Don’t worry. I’m going to bulk up. I’m going to train.’ And I was like, ‘Go out and train for a couple of weeks and let me see you.’ And she came back and she had put on ten pounds. I think she is naturally thin. She’s probably, for whatever reason, thinner than she normally is. But it must be so painful to pickup US Magazine and hear them talking about how anorexic and terrible you look.” [Source]

I think Kate needs to bulk up again like she did for Blue Crush…she looked great in that movie, probably the best I’ve ever seen her look, come to think of it…

Love of Horses Led to Love of Acting for Kate

While in Oz as Motorola’s racing ambassador for the Derby, Kate admitted to reporters that she’s a huge fan of horses, and it was this love of horses which led her to world of acting!

Kate said: “When I was 14, I was jumping in competitions… There was word around the barn that they were casting a film about horses, and the director wanted an authentic rider. I had never read a scene before, but I thought, ‘I’ll just try my luck at it,’ and I got it. I feel lucky that one love led to another.” [Source]

Kate’s Down Under!

Kate Bosworth fans rejoice!!!

She’s in Australia for the Spring Racing Carnival, as this year’s overseas talent. You might remember that last year Eva Longoria made the long trek to Oz for the world-famous annual fashion and racing event.

If you want to catch a glimpse of Kate, you need to head down to Melbourne, as she’ll be at Flemington on Tuesday for the ‘race that stops a nation,’ The Melbourne Cup!

I see she’s still as skinny as ever, and she’s got a typical ‘eating disorder outfit’ on…big, baggy and over-sized, the kind that make you look bigger than you actually are.

Since splitting with Orlando Bloom a few weeks ago, Kate Bosworth has been living ‘on a diet of caffeine and nicotine,’ and has just been getting thinner and thinner.
Here’s a few recent photos of Kate looking sickly thin, and certainly giving Nicole Richie a run for her money with the “Hollywood’s Skinniest Female” award.

Also, in more Kate (and Orlando) news…apparently, the movie (Season’s of Dust) that Kate and Orlando were set to star in together has been put on hold due to their split. Kate has reportedly already moved on to other projects.

It seems Orlando Bloom has well and truly moved on from ex-girlfriend, Kate Bosworth, with rumours circulating about his new romance with Penelope Cruz.
Penelope and Orlando have been spotted together twice at Hyde in LA this week.
Although Penelope’s reps have denied a relationship with Orlando, a source said “they were definitely together and holding hands [while at Hyde].”
Also, US Weekly reports that “last Saturday at the club Orlando and Penelope danced to ‘Run Around Sue’ and Orlando kissed Penelope’s hand ‘affectionately’.”
Apparently, Penelope isn’t the only girl on Orlando’s mind at the present, who has also been recently linked to Claire Danes and Uma Thurman.

Seeing as I’m in a “Bosworth” mood…here’s some more Kate goss for you…
On-lookers were concerned when Kate turned up at New York City’s Fashion Week distinctly thinner than usual. A source has told People, “She’s so small, it’s frightening…She’s always been small, but now she is really, really skinny…Every time I saw her, I kept thinking, ‘Please eat something.’”
While reps of Ms. Bosworth have “declined to comment” on the stars’ apparent weight issue, an insider has stuck up for the Superman Returns actress, blaming “emotional and physical strain” (caused by her split from Orlando Bloom) as the reason behind her drastic weight loss.
