Jennifer Love Hewitt: The Return of the Black Bikini

It’s been two years since Jennifer Love Hewitt infamously stepped out in a black bikini, receiving more than her fair share of flak over her weight.

Now, 18 pounds lighter than she was back then, a glowing Hewitt decided it was high time she got back on the black bikini horse, returning to the scene of the crime and slapping one on with a pair of heels to play a tennis game with boyfriend Jamie Kennedy while vacationing in Hawaii on Saturday.

At the time of the 2007 fashion faux pas, Hewitt said she felt “a little embarrassed” with all of the fuss that was made in the media.

“It made me a little said,” she added. “It hurt my feelings.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt Not Engaged, Says Rep

It seems congratulations aren’t in store for Jennifer Love Hewitt after all, with the star’s rep revealing that she and beau Jamie Kennedy did not get engaged at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, despite reports to the contrary.

“There’s no truth to the report,” Hewitt’s rep said. “There’s no truth to this report whatsoever.”

However, a real engagement may be just around the corner for the love birds, with the Ghost Whisperer actress revealing that she and Kennedy have discussed marriage – so much so that they even have an engagement timeline.

“By this time next year, if we’re not planning something, then there’s a situation,” Hewitt said on 104.7 FM’s Johnjay and Rich Show recently.

Kennedy himself confirmed that the engagement rumours are completely false with a post on popular social networking site, Twitter.

Kennedy Tweeted on Tuesday: “There’s a lil rumor going round that i got down on one knee in Long beach. If i was gonna get down on one knee do u think i wud do it in the LBC???? I mean i’m down with Snoop but L Beach doesnt scream Romance. I luv my girl and wen it happens you’ll be the first to know.”

So you’ve heard it from the horse’s mouth (so to speak) folks: Jen Love and Jamie are NOT engaged. Though stay tuned, because Jamie did say ‘when’ and not ‘if’…

Jennifer Love Hewitt Engaged?

Here’s a strange one to start the morning with – Jennifer Love Hewitt got engaged on Saturday night whilst on stage at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, California.

Yes, the Ghost Whisperer star was proposed to by longtime beau, Jamie Kennedy, on a comedy stage.

According to a source, Kennedy was nearing the completion of his two-hour comedy stint when he pulled Hewitt up on stage to tell jokes with him and sing. One of the audience members allegedly shouted out, “Marry her!” – Kennedy, of course, didn’t want to disappoint and “got down on one knee and asked [Hewitt] to marry him.”

Hewitt said yes, and there was “a standing ovation,” added the source.

If this is for real, it would have to go down as one of the more bizarre spontaneous engagments in celeb history. Congrats go to Hewitt and her man Kennedy, just in case.

The actress, who’s made gossip headlines lately with her “Bad camera angle” bikini shots, has decided to launch her own plus-size fashion line in order to silence those “size zero” critics for good.

Jennifer Love Hewitt has jumped into the fashion market with her line focused at plus-size woman. Here’s where things get funny: the line is labelled “Orca Fashions.” Just so we’re all on the same page here, an Orca is a whale (Free Willy, for example).

So, in reaching out to people who understand what it’s like to be called fat, Jen has released a fashion line that essentially names the buyers as “whales.” What a lovely business venture that is!

Janice Dickinson Defends Hewitt, Calls Tyra “Fat”

The Jennifer Love Hewitt bikini controversy continues, with self-labelled supermodel, Janice Dickinson jumping on the bandwagon to offer the Ghost Whisperer star her support on the issue.

During an appearance on The Today Show this morning, 52-year-old Janice told host Al Roker that Love Hewitt was “a healthy, not emaciated woman.” ÂÂ

She then went on to call fellow model Tyra Banks fat. “These are unflattering camera angles on [Jennifer]. You want to see someone who’s fat? I’m sorry, Tyra. Tyra Banks is fat. This girl is not fat.”

Of course, when Roker picked on what she’d just said and defended the America’s Next Top Model host, Dickinson retracked her words rather quickly, saying, “I’m kidding because I love Miss Banks.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt Hits Back at “Fat” Claims

In response to all the “fat” abuse she’s received over the weekend, after some rather unflattering bikini shots of her holidaying in Hawaii appeared on the web, Jennifer Love Hewitt has stated that: “being a size 2 doesn’t make you fat!”

The Ghost Whisperer star said she was upset at the claims made by countless gossip blogs (Staralicious included), but not for herself, but for other young women struggling with their body weight.

“I’ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women’s bodies are constantly scrutinized,” Hewitt explained on her own blog. “To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.”

Despite being called fat (and a lot of other unsavoury names), Jennifer insists that she loves her body, and encouraged other “big-boned” girls to do the same.

“Like all women out there should, I love my body,” she said. “I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family.”

Hewitt added: “A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful. … To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini – put it on and stay strong.”
