J-Lo Completes Malibu Triathlon

Jennifer Lopez completed her first ever Triathlon on Sunday, finishing in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 38.8 seconds.

The 39-year-old singer, who gave birth to twins not too long ago, said she had an amazing day, and was super-excited as she crossed over the finish line.

“Thank you guys so much,” she said to the crowd. “This is an amazing day.”

Lopez then went on to make a little speech, and was sure to mention the amount of money she’d raised by competing in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon.

“I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water but more amazing than that, I feel really great that we raised $127,000 for the Children’s Hospital [of Los Angeles] and hopefully it’ll go to good use,” Lopez gushed.

At least she didn’t mention how much better she was than a certain 8-times Olympic Gold champion this time…

J-Lo Throws Tantrum Over Swimmer Phelps’ Popularity

The Queen of all Divas, Jennifer “Jenny from the Block” Lopez is at it again, throwing another of her trademark tantrums, this time over gold medal-winning Olympic champion, Michael Phelps.

Apparently, Ms. J-Lo is far from tickled pink at all the attention U.S. swimmer Phelps has been receiving since his record-breaking 8-medal haul at this year’s games. The singer doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about, and believes that she should be getting all the glory because she’s “the one training for a triathlon just six months after giving birth.”

A source explained that following a TV interview [presumably about her triathlon training], J-Lo said that she couldn’t understand “why everyone [was] talking about that swimmer.”

“She couldn’t come up with [Michael] Phelps’ name,” the source added, “and then she yammered on about how she was the one training for a triathlon just six months after giving birth, and how that was the big story right now, not ‘the swimmer.’”

Riiight… Someone give this woman a pin, she’s got a fat head in desperate need of deflation…

J-Lo And Marc Anthony New TLC Reality Show

Get ready for this must miss television series.

J-Ho and Marc Anthony are creating a new reality show with TLC.

From the horses mouth:

“I am excited to be part of the TLC family”.

“I’m looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together.”

J.Ho also signed on as co-executive producer of the new series and why not, she has such experience producing reality television.

According to a press release from the cable network, the show will “deliver a slice of (Lopez’s) life that audiences have never seen before, as she takes on her career and launches a new fragrance while trying to juggle her new responsibilities as a first time mom.”

Sounds gripping…… Yawn……

Mariah Carey Insults Pregnant J-Lo

It’s no secret that songstresses Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez don’t get along. They had their first run-in way back in ‘01, when Lopez wanted to sample songs on Mariah’s Glitter soundtrack… and now it seems the pair are at it again in ‘08!

Proof That J-Lo is Expecting Twins?

Since Jennifer Lopez confirmed her pregnancy with husband Marc Anthony, there’s been a lot of speculation as to whether or not the actress and sometimes-singer is expecting twins.

There’s been no confirmation either way from Lopez or her management team, but during a shopping trip in L.A. recently, Jennifer may have let the news slip. She was seen purchasing matching pink and blue Tuni & G jumpsuits from posh baby store, Petit Tresor, fuelling the rumours that she’s carrying two bubs: a boy and a girl.

J-Lo Expecting Twins?

Miss Jenny from the Block herself is up the duff!!

An insider close to J-Lo and hubby Marc Anthony has revealed that the singer/actress is “due to give birth in the spring” (that’s the American spring, folks, not the Aussie one).

Apparently, the divalicious Lopez found out the happy news after a visit to her Beverly Hills gynecologist, Dr. Robert Katz, prompting the star to have a ultrasound at the specialist’s New York office on September 12.

Another source said: “The test calculated that she was about 12 weeks pregnant.”

However, the rumours are that Jen got double the excitment when she went for her ultrasound, as the doctors believe she could be carrying twins! A friend close to the Gigli star said, “The way the fetus is lying made it difficult for the doctor to tell if there was more than one baby in there.”

This will be the first child for J-Lo (or two, if she really is having twins!), who recently turned to vitro fertilization to get pregnant after two years of unsuccessful natural attempts. ÂÂ

Apparently, it’s no longer “cool” or “cricket” to call snooty actress-cum-singer Jennifer Lopez Miss J-Lo, because she finds that her self-created alter ego is readily associated with her rather diva-esque behaviour.

So no more! No more J-Lo, and no more diva behaviour.. at least, that’s the way she’s seeing it at the moment.. but that could all change the next time she wants an ice-pressed towel for her forehead scented with posies hand-picked from the Swiss Alps.

J-Lo – sorry, I’m just so used it to – Jennifer said that what started out to be a bit of fun with creating her new name soon “got out of control and really crazy,” and it’s time the insanity was stopped.
Lopez added: “That’s all gone with the ridiculous stories about me throwing tantrums and insisting on Egyptian sheets. That’s all firmly in my past.”

This change of heart and identity has all come about because Ms. Lopez would like to be a more serious actress and singer, however, she was quick to add that this wasn’t at all about the money involved in major film projects.
“If you focus on the money you’re not going to get anywhere. If money is your motivation you’re going to be such an empty shallow person.”

According to Jen’s rep, that is, however, if you’ve read Britian’s OK! Magazine recently, you might believe otherwise…

The mag is reporting that Jen and Marc had “called it quits” after three years of marriage, but Lopez’s rep has adamantly denied the rumours, stating that it is “a disgusting story full of lies. We’re consulting lawyers.”

A close friend of the couple adds to Jennifer’s rep’s statement, saying that “they’re inseparable. I don’t get a whiff of trouble.”

Not Even Celebs Can Escape The Dreaded Jury Duty!

It seems in the U.S., even the celebrity status isn’t enough to save you from your civil duty of participating in a jury!

Pop diva Jennifer Lopez aka. J-Lo was required to do just that this morning, having to sit in on court proceedings at the Beverly Hills Courthouse.

Miss Jenny from the Block arrived at 8:30 AM with an assistant in tow, and according to TMZ, “spent most of her time in the jury room text messaging friends.”

Despite being quoted as “really down to earth,” the pop star was given special privledges, and was allowed to stay inside the court room with a personally assigned deputy, while the other jurors had to move into a hallway.

After lunch, J-Lo did what every celebrity would do…she came back to the courthouse with a different outfit on, and a different assistant!

At 2.30 p.m., the case was considered closed, and all of the prospective jurors, including Jennifer, were free to go home.
