Jared Leto Breaks Nose At Concert

Actor-turned-singer, Jared Leto, has broken his nose, when he ran into the crowd at a recent 30 Seconds to Mars concert in Texas.

The self-confessed blogger-hater received a broken nose, injured foot and superficial damage to his pretty face. *cue awwws*
Despite the injuries, Leto managed to finish the show with his band mates, and even declared it his best concert ever.

The organiser for the event said: “We hope Jared’s injuries are all minor and that he has a speedy recovery.”

We all know Paris Hilton will be ringing in the New Year in Sydney, Australia…but where will the real stars be partying??

People has a list of the places where some of Hollywood’s top celebs, like Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and Christina Aguilera, will be partying this New Year’s Eve…

The stars set to party in Miami include:

• Lindsay Lohan – she’s currently staying at the Delano Hotel, so it’s been rumoured that she’ll be spending New Year’s at the hip South Beach hot spot. Other celebs who’ll be joining her there include Michelle Trachtenberg, Taye Diggs, Kimberly Stewart, Maxwell and Sofia Vergara.
• Wilmer Valderrama can be seen at Mansion (without latest squeeze, Mandy Moore), along with Travis Barker and Nicole Richie’s ex-DJ AM. Wilmer told People: “What’s a better way to celebrate a great year than coming to Mansion?”
• Laguna Beach starlet Kristin Cavallari and hottie James Franco will be partying at ultra-chic Prive and the ajoining Opium Garden.
• Jared Leto will be seen at the Raleigh Hotel, which is owned by Uma’s latest man.
• If you head to Skybar, you could run into many a celeb, including Luke Wilson, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Robert Iler and Tyson Beckford, who are all celebrating there.
• As previously mentioned, Jessica Alba is hosting a New Year’s bash at Setai, along with Haylie Duff and The OC’s Benjamin McKenzie.
• Adrian Grenier will be at Hotel Victor, where he’ll be performing with his band, the Honey Brothers.

The stars set to party in Las Vegas include:

• Britney Spears, who’ll be partying at Caesars Palace’s PURE nightclub.
• Joel Madden will be a DJ at Ghostbar on the 55th floor of the Palms Casino Resort, will a possible appearance from his new gal, Nicole Richie.
• Pamela Anderson is set to a host a bash at Tao at the Venetian, while her exes, Tommy Lee and Kid Rock party at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and The Mirage’s Jet nightclub respectively.
• Vince Vaughn will celebrate with his comedy tour in Mandalay Bay.

The stars set to party in New York City include:

• Carson Daly, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Seacrest, Fergie, Natasha Bedingfield and Meat Loaf, will all be a part of two separate New Year’s shows hosted in Times Square.
• Nikki Beach Midtown will be home to stars Mira Sorvino, Federico Castelluccio, Elias Koteas, Caroline Rhea, and Sorvino’s father, Paul.
• An exclusive bash at Room Service will be hosted by MTV’s own Damien Fahey.

Jared Leto Hates Blogs

Jumping on the bag the bloggers week bandwagon, Jared Leto has come out swinging against blogging saying that it should die a sudden death. He goes on to say.

It’s just ridiculous. It’s like a playground for four-year-olds. People say and do things in the world of blogs that they would never do in real life, and I think it’s a false experience. You know, it’s, like, eating too much candy.”

One of the things along those lines that bothers me about when people start citing blogs as news sources is that when people are writing on these blogs, they feel like they don’t feel they need to do any research or back up their opinions with facts or anything, you know what I mean?

Times have changed. It used to be, to be a writer you had to have experience and talent, and learn a craft. Now anybody with an opinion, which is anyone and everyone, feels that it’s worthy. Technology is allowing people to have access to things where before it required very great skill. So there will be some interesting developments from that, and also some things that are pretty worthless. Pretty soon anybody with a cell phone is going to be able to be a news reporter.The blog is yesterday’s parachute pants. It’s here now but it’s gone tomorrow.

All you have to do is point your friggin’ Blackberry at somebody and get a picture and send it off to your favorite blog site.

Sometimes it’s interesting, but most of the time the bloggers themselves are just trying to get famous so they can make some money and sell advertising dollars and duping these poor people who are on the internet all day long.
