Kevin Federline’s Story

For the first time since splitting with Britney in November of 2006, Kevin Federline has come clean and told what he says is “his” side of the story.

The wannabe rapper spoke candidly to People magazine about his tumultuous last couple of years, dishing the dirt on everything from ex-wife Britney Spears, to his children, and that now infamous night when Spears locked herself in a bathroom with their youngest son and threatened suicide.

P: Do you remember when you first met Britney?

K: I met her at a club in Hollywood, Joseph’s. Our eyes met and that was it. We just hit it off right away. I learned real fast how much of a whirlwind the press and everything was.

P: What are your happiest memories of the marriage?

K: Well, getting married. I never thought that I would get married but it wound up happening. That was a really, really, happy, exciting moment. I pretty much realized that I was giving my life to her, and I was doing it without question.

P: What went wrong?

K: It’s hard enough to be in a marriage, and then have a kid, then kids, it changes everything. For me, I’d become more concerned with my children. Not that I ignored Britney, but my kids are always most important… I mean, we were having complications. I didn’t give her an ultimatum, but I was trying to work stuff out with her, and she didn’t even talk to me or anything and went behind my back and filed [for divorce]. [I was] completely blindsided.

P: A lot of people assumed you fought for custody of the kids because of money.

K: My first question to [my lawyer] was, “Am I ever going to be able to see my children?” I told him that I would spend every last dime that I had to make sure that my children are okay. That’s all that mattered. I didn’t know how much power Britney had. That really scared me.

P: How did you react in January when Britney locked herself in the bathroom with Jayden and was later taken to the hospital on a gurney?

K: That whole night is a blur. You want to talk about one of my lowest points of depression, that was probably one of them. I was very, very worried for her ’cause I care about her. That’s the mother of my children. Just because I’m not in love with her doesn’t mean that I don’t love her. I’m definitely rooting for her. There’s nothing more that I want than for her to be in the best health and doing what she loves to do.

P: Are things getting better?

K: Oh, man, it’s totally turning around. It works out that [the kids] get to see her. There’s structure over there, there’s structure at my house. We’re trying to keep the same type of schedule. It doesn’t have to be completely perfect, but the foundation is there.

Kidman Shows Her True Colours

Nicole Kidman has hit a snag in her suffocating press campaign for new movie Australia, showing her true “Ice Queen” colours during an interview with David Letterman.

The Australian actress was “greeted warmly” by Letterman, but things quickly turned icy, with Kidman letting off a string of cutting, sarcastic comments that left fans across the globe disgusted.

Obviously sick and tired of hearing about Australia (the movie, not the continent; although these days it’s pretty hard to tell the two apart), Letterman “insisted” on talking about anything but the movie, and at one point even brought up the subject of our closest neighbours, New Zealand.

“I made a film called Australia – not New Zealand,” Kidman reminded the host a little tensely.

“Right,” Letterman replied. “Are they making a film called New Zealand?”

This comment didn’t go down well with Kidman, and it was at this point that the interview started to go even further southward.

After pursuing several questions about Kidman’s country music-singing hubby, Keith Urban, the botox-ed starlet snapped, “Why are you so obsessed with him?”

“Please, let’s talk about the film!” Kidman begged at one point.

When Australia did finally get a mention, it didn’t improve Kidman’s mood any, with Letterman’s compliments about her appearance causing the actress to spit back: “You were talking about horses and you suddenly went to me face?”

I don’t know that I’d compare Kidman’s appearance to that of a horse, but there is something not entirely human about her appearance… those disgusting puffy, immobile lips – for a start – aren’t normal… and don’t even get me started on the rest of her taut, expressionless face!!

The interview – Part 1 and 2 – is available below.

Jennifer Aniston: “What Angelina Jolie Did Was Really Uncool!”

Jennifer Aniston has well and truly opened up about her feelings for Angelina Jolie.

The actress, who lost ex-husband Brad Pitt to Jolie, spilled the beans to Vogue magazine.

“There was stuff printed [in Jolie's recent interview] that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening,” Aniston said. “I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss.”

After asking the journalist to switch off the recorder, Aniston shook her head in disbelief and added: “That stuff about how [Jolie] couldn’t wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.”

I don’t think anyone would disagree with that — although I think I may have chosen a more colourful word than “uncool”, if it were me.

U.K. action star Jason Statham made an appearance on Australian variety show Rove last night, promoting his new movie, The Bank Job.

Statham has been in the country since Wednesday, when he walked the red carpet in Sydney for the Australian premiere of his latest film, based on the real-life London robbery of 1971 which allegedly involved the Queen’s daughter, Princess Margaret.

Staralicious was invited to the premiere of the movie on Wednesday night, but we couldn’t organise things in time to attend. Damn…

The Bank Job opens in cinemas across Australia on July 31.

For those of you who live overseas or simply missed the show last night, here is the two-part interview with Get Smart stars Anne Hathaway and Steve Carrell on Australian variety show, Rove Live.

As a side note, the whole dry-retching thing came about because two of the Aussie comedians who are regulars on the show were dared by host Rove McManus to ride a rollarcoaster for the entire broadcast time, whilst also consuming hotdogs and milkshakes in the hopes that they would up-chuck on live television.

Yeah… it was funny at the time. ;-)

Heath Ledger

In his final interview before his tragic death, Australian actor Heath Ledger told WJW FOX that he’s “felt good about dying” since the birth of his daughter, Matilda Rose.

Ledger said: “You [also] look at death differently.

“It’s like a catch-22.

“I feel good about dying now because I feel I’m alive in her [Matilda].

“But at the same hand, you don’t want to die because you want to be around for the rest of her life.”

Heath was found dead in a SoHo apartment believed to belong to Mary-Kate Olsen earlier today. Police, and his distraught family, are claiming an accidental death due to an overdose of prescription and non-prescription medicines, which were found on the scene.

Keira Knightley: “Newspapers F-ck Me Off!”

Keira Knightley at the ‘Atonement’ Premiere

While I’ll easily admit to being a big Knightley fan, I sometimes find myself cringing over the things she says in the media, in particular, this extract from her latest interview with Elle magazine.

In it, the Atonement star swears, rants on newspapers, has an argument with herself, and disses cell phones. Personally, I love my mobile, especially now I can even get my celeb gossip while texting (shamelessly plugs the new Staralicious mobile feature!) :P
