Madonna Reaches Divorce Settlement

The epic battle between exes Madonna and Guy Ritchie is over before it even really began!

According to the BBC, Madge and Ritchie have reached a settlement, and “will be granted a preliminary divorce decree” at the High Court in London on Friday, which means that in six weeks and a day, their divorce will be made final and official.

The split between one of Hollywood’s super couples has been fairly benign, all things considered. Not too many nasty comments in the media, and, according to reports, a nice, amicable settlement where both parties involved get to keep their respective dosh.

Despite the fact that Ritchie was entitled - by law - to a portion of Madonna’s fortune, he will walk away from the marriage with only a meager amount of Madge’s estimated $500 million wealth.

“[Madonna] walked away without any of his money, much to her credit,” a friend said. “[Ritchie] has done the same.”

Likewise, the pair will share custody of their two children - Rocco, 8, and the adopted David, 3 - while Madonna’s daughter Lourdes (who’s not Ritchie’s biological child) will remain in America with her mother.

Another friend revealed: “[Ritchie] could have hugely boosted his bank balance and set himself up for life, but he already feels he has enough money.

“He also didn’t want the whole thing dragging on in the public gaze for months and months and, in any case, his priority was the children’s future.”

However, a source close to the couple insists this picture-perfect view of the settlement couldn’t be further from the truth, with Ritchie set to “clean up” once everything becomes final.

“[Guy’s] going to get a huge windfall, contrary to what’s being reported,” the source said. “He’s getting a lot of money from the settlement. He’s not the gentleman he’s portraying himself as.”

And Madonna’s been flouncing around with A-Rod since before the divorce was announced in October, so I guess that means neither one of them is a gentleman…

Madonna: More “Gristle” Than Lady

There’s certainly no love lost between Guy Ritchie and Madonna!

The soon-to-be-exes are going at it hard in the media just days after making the official announcement that they’d split, with a close friend of Ritchie’s revealing that he found the singer’s muscular physique so revolting, he hadn’t made love to her in 18 months!

According to the pal, Ritchie had once likened the 4 Minutes singer to a “piece of gristle,” and blamed Madonna’s obsession with exercise for destroying their marriage.

“[Making love to Madonna was like] cuddling up to a piece of gristle,” Ritchie is alleged to have told his friends.

Another friend added: “All of the soft feminine tones have been replaced by the build of an athlete.”

Ritchie confronted Madonna about the exercise issue on a number of occassions, but sources say the singer “wouldn’t budge,” and insisted on her “four-hour [daily] workout, even though her routine was putting a strain on her marriage.

If I was Guy, I’d be feeling relieved right about now. He’s finally free of all the sanity! And now “gristly Madge” is someone else’s problem - namely A-Rod’s.

It’s Official: Madonna & Guy Ritchie Split

After almost eight years of marriage, Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have officially split.

Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenberg confirmed the split on Wednesday, releasing a joint statement to the press on behalf of both Madge and Guy.

The statement read: “Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven-and-a-half years of marriage. They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time.”

“The main concern for Madonna and Guy are their children - the security of their children in all sense of the word and the wellbeing of their children,” Rosenberg added. “That’s the priority for both of them moving forward. It’s a sad situation.”

A settlement has not yet been reached.

Madonna Uses Marriage Troubles To Rake In The Cash

How low will she go for a buck? That is the question you would have to ask about Madonna after this story from TMZ.

All the stories we have been posting about Madonna’s marriage being on the rocks are looking spot on, but never one to let a chance go by, Madonna is trying to use the publicity to boost her world tour as well as make a wad of cash.

Sources claim that the marriage has been over for months, but just because her marriage has broken down, does not mean that Madonna has lost her nose for business, with a well planned series of leaks to fuel the breakup rumors in an attempt to boost sales for her world tour.

With the tour expected to make $300 million, even Guy has agreed to the plan in order to get a bigger cut of the pie.

As reported here, they are expected to announce their divorce in November or December at the conclusion of the tour.

So she has thought out the entire plan for making even more money, but no mention of the effect this will have on her kids.

No Divorce, Says Madonna

Madonna has personally hit back at claims which suggest she and director hubby Guy Ritchie are getting a divorce, releasing an exclusive statement to People.com on the nature of her marriage, and her alleged affair with Yankee Alex Rodriguez.

The singer said: “My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.”

Rumours of a split between Madonna and Guy have been running rife for months now, however, Madonna insists that the gossip floating around the internet and in the magazines is completely false.

“I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many false reports about me very seriously,” Madonna added. “I also appreciate how fiction and fact seem to be perceived as one and the same by people who read both newspapers and the Internet.”

Madonna’s Rep Denies Divorce

Madonna’s rep has hit back at the claims that the 4 Minutes singer is in the early stages of a divorce from her film director husband Guy Ritchie, calling the reports “false.”

“Madonna’s husband Guy arrived in New York last night to be with his wife and family (not in a last ditch attempt to save his marriage which does not need saving,” the singer’s rep, Liz Rosenberg, told People.com.

“There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce.”

Rosenberg added: “It’s nothing new that people are airing tons of dirty laundry Madonna’s way lately – much of it untrue. By the way, rumors of Madonna and Lil Wayne are quite exaggerated, as well.”

Madonna And Guy Discuss Split

As I have reported previously, Madonna and Guy’s marriage is on the rocks. Now the Daily Mail reports that the split could be a lot sooner then expected.

The pair are expected to formally announce their separation at the completion of Madonna’s World tour on November 29.

The pair live separate lives in their London home and are more live brother and sister then husband and wife.

As I previously noted, Perez HIlton has a thing for Madonna, has previously called bullshit on the whole marriage trouble story, still doesn’t believe it, but has now had a bet each way, saying:

“Uh huh! Suuuuuure.”

“If they do split, we wonder what kind of spousal support package Guy would score????”

Someone is obviously out of the loop and being fed a lot of poop. That’s what you get when you think you are one of the in crowd and start peddling the spin they tell you to.

Guy And Madonna Get Counselling

The Daily Mail is reporting that Madaonna and Guy Ritchie have turned to Kabbalah counseling to repair their troubled marriage.

Perez Hilton, who has a thing for Madonna, doesn’t buy any of it, insisting that there is no trouble in their marriage to begin with, claiming the entire story is bullshit.

Madonna is set to move to New York in the next couple of days, leaving Guy alone in London, finishing his new film RocknRolla.

According to News of the World, Mads and hubby Ritchie are well and truly over, but the former couple don’t plan on announcing anything on the subject for at least the next 18 months, giving them both time to work on how best to milk the publicity from it.
