Debra’s “Terrified” of Swimming in Oz

Will and Grace star Debra Messing has admitted that the death of Croc Hunter Steve Irwin has left her “terrified of swimming in Australian waters.”
News.com.au is reporting that while Debra was “very much” looking forward to coming to Oz to film the mini-series (The Starter’s Wife), she doesn’t want to hop in the water now, and has demanded a body double for any ocean-related scenes.
Debra said: “I told them I am not going in the ocean. I told them I need a stunt double.”
As well as putting a ban on swimming while in Oz, Debra has also said that her famous red locks will not be making the trip to Australia with her.
“We were just talking and I was really pushing for dark brown. They (producers) were like, ‘We like the red’ – I was like ‘I bet you do’.”
