Ashlee Simpson Addicted to Plastic Surgery

It’s a sad thing indeed when a relatively attractive young girl becomes so addicted with plastic surgery that she mucks up her whole face at the tender age of 23.

Pop tartette Ashlee Simpson has concerned both her fans and the media when she appeared out and about in L.A. recently looking more like a puffer fish than a singer — sparking controversy with what appears to be another bout of plastic surgery.

Onlookers said the former Seventh Heaven star was “embarrassed” as she tried to hide her severely bloated face behind her long red hair. However, despite her attempts to keep her new look hidden, sources say that there was no question the youngest Simpson had paid yet another visit to her cosmetic surgeon.

“Her face looked bizarrely lopsided and swollen,” one onlooker said. “She was trying to cover up her puffy cheeks with her hair, but it was all too obvious something was wrong.”

Ashlee Simpson Not Engaged

Another celebrity couple allegedly engaged over the New Year period was singer Ashlee Simpson and her rocker beau, Pete Wentz.

News of their engagement spread across the gossip community earlier in the week, after Simpson was seen partying the night away at Miami’s Shore Club with Wentz and a rather expensive-looking rock on her finger.

But both Ashlee and Pete’s reps have denied the engagement, telling Usmagazine.com, “Ashlee is not engaged.”

Joe Simpson to Pimp Britney?

In light of Britney’s very own “father-bashing” (in the press, not physically!) and the dumping of her manager, media pimp Joe Simpson has decided to take the troubled pop star under his wing, and give her a new father-figure.

The daddy of star siblings, Jessica and Ashlee, has apparently already attempting to contact Spears about taking up the manager’s position for her flailing career, even going as far as to set up a meeting for the weekend!

Jessica’s rep has denied these claims, however, sources close to Joe say he’s already has the ok from both his daughters, who don’t feel the least bit threatened by their pop rival being managed by their father.

The source added that because of Jessica’s sky-rocketing movie career, she no longer finds the need to compete with the likes of Spears!

A rep for Britney wouldn’t comment on the rumours.

Ashlee Comes Clean About Plastic Surgery

Newly-transformed pop star, Ashlee Simpson, comes clean about her plastic surgery in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine.

In the mag, she explains that the surgery was “her choice,” and that she didn’t go under the knife because she “hated her looks,” or because she wanted to be another Hollywood clone… she did it for herself.

“I loved how I looked. I’m not an insecure person, nor was I before,” Ashlee says. “It’s a personal choice. I believe if somebody chooses to do plastic surgery it [should be] for yourself, not for anyone else.”

Ashlee insisted that the media scrutiny she received after revealing her dramatic facial changes didn’t bother her in the slightest, as she knew she was happy with her decisions.

“I’m a happy person, and I’m happy with my looks. Everybody always has an opinion. One minute they’ll love you; one minute they’ll hate you. When you go home to sleep at night [the important thing] is to feel good about yourself. And I do.”

She then had a bit of a laugh at the comments regarding her similarity to elder sister, Jessica.

“Of course, I look like her. She’s my sister! It’s like, God, please! [Jessica and I] think it’s quite funny.”

The former punk popper used her final words of the interview to send a message out to her skeptical fans - “Through all my changes, I’m still the same person. My heart has not changed.”

Now, inspirational and heart-felt her interview might have been, but I still don’t get why someone who was so “in love” and “happy” with the way she looked would feel the need to change her appearance so drastically…

New Couple Alert: Ashlee & Ryan?

Ryan Phillippe sure has a thing for blondes!

First, he married Reese Witherspoon, then he hooked up with Abbie Cornish…and now it seems he’s seeing Ashlee Simpson - who’s 10 year’s younger than him!

The actor and pop star were spotted getting friendly at Les Deux nightclub in Los Angeles recently, with Ryan heading back to Ashlee’s house and spending the night.

A source explained how the new couple happened to meet: “When Ryan and his friends arrived they were shown to the only table with any space left — where Ashlee and her friends were sitting.”

“He couldn’t keep his eyes off her in her very figure hugging little black dress. They seemed very into each other. Ashlee was really excited. You could tell she had a huge crush on him.”

Apparently, shortly after meeting, the pair disappeared upstairs to the private Library, where they emerged several hours later looking “dishevelled.”

The source said: “They were up [to The Library] for over an hour and came back looking dishevelled. We knew something went on.”

“They took separate cars and met at her place. He spent the night! Ashlee is keeping quiet and just said how hot he was. They really hit it off. I think they will hook up again.”

Of course, a rep for Mr. Phillippe has denied that anything went on, claiming that although Ryan did meet Ashlee that evening, he did not spend the night with her.

“Ryan does not know Ashlee aside from a brief introduction. He went out with his friends and left with his friends,” his rep said.

As yet, there’s been no word from the Simpson camp.

Simpson Girls Too Good For Rehab

Creepy Hollywood dad, Joe Simpson, insists that we’ll never see his girls in rehab (because they’re too good for that!) …ok, so he didn’t say those exact words, but we all know that’s what he meant.

“I would never let that happen to my daughters. Hopefully, [Britney’s] family will take care of the situation,” Joe said recently.

I think the word you’re looking for, Joe, is that they’re trying to take care of the situation! There’s only so much you can do for a 25-year-old woman, who’s no longer a child, and won’t listen to your warnings…and as for Jessica and Ashlee never going to rehab…never say never!
