Nobody Wants the Simpson Tot

It appears nobody cares about poor little Bronx Mowgli Simpson Wentz.

Rumour has it that the little tyke’s parents have been busy trying to drum up some cash in the last few weeks by selling Bronx’s first baby pictures — but no one wants to touch them!

“Pete and Ashlee have approached every single celebrity magazine with offers to sell their first photos, but nobody wants them,” a source has revealed.”Covers of them tend not to sell well.”

A rep for the couple has denied the report, but I’m not discounting its worth so quickly. After all, the hype for the Simpson sisters has died down a lot in the last year, and nobody was really that fazed when Bronx Mowgli was born – except those of us who criticised his ridiculous name.

Times are tough on the Simpson front, and if the girls keep using Papa Joe as their manager and God-like entity, things will only get worse.

Ashlee Simpson Gives Birth to Baby Boy

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz are now the proud parents of a healthy baby boy!

Simpson went into labour on Thursday and gave birth to Bronx Mowgli Wentz in the evening of the same day. Bronx, who is a first child for both Ashlee and Pete, weighed in at 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long.

A rep for the couple confirmed the birth: “Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”

Bronx… that’s almost as ridiculous as Knox… or Apple… Those poor celebrity kids never catch a break, do they?

Ashlee Simpson in Labour

A family insider has confirmed that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is now in labour at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

“Yes, she is in labour,” the insider said. “[Husband Pete Wentz] and the family are really excited and are waiting to meet the baby.”

Pete Wentz Denies Twin Rumours

Pete Wentz has denied rumours that he and wife Ashlee Simpson are expecting twins, telling Usmagazine.com that the press are going to be “disappointed” when only one baby is born.

“It’s going to be a big disappointment [for the press] when it’s only one!” Wentz, 29, joked on the red carpet of the VMA’s on Sunday.

Still, good pal Tyga, who started the rumour earlier in the week, wasn’t so quick to discount it.

“I think I started that rumour,” Tyga said. “I probably started it.”

When asked if Simpson and Wentz really were having twins, Tyga added: “I don’t know, maybe they are. Anything is possible.”

So in other words, he’s standing by what he said. Kinda reminds you of when Jack Black “accidentally” let slip the news that the Jolie-Pitts were expecting twinds, doesn’t it?

Simpson Pregnant With Twins

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and her rocker hubby Pete Wentz are having twins!

Tyga, a friend of the Wentz’, revealed the news in a pre-VMA interview at the House of Hype.

“They’re havint twins,” hip-hop singer Tyga said. “They’re really happy.”

However, a rep for the couple has discounted Tyga’s report, insisting that “only one” baby is on the way. “[Tyga's story] is not true,” the rep said.

It wouldn’t be the first time Pete and Ash have lied about their pregnancy, though. Rumours were abound before their wedding earlier in the year, but the pair denied them all, only coming clean after their nuptials had taken place.

Ashlee’s Got a Baby Bump

Newlywed Ashlee Simpson stepped out in Hollywood this week, sporting a visible baby bump.

The younger sister of pop star Jessica Simpson was all smiles as she showed off her new pregnancy belly, a first for the 23-year-old singer and her new husband, Pete Wentz (of Fall Out Boy fame).

Not date as yet on when they baby’s due, though with her Summer tour postponed, I’d gather the baby’s set to come around November or December. Looks like her boobs have already started to grow in anticipation of the little one, though.

Ashlee Simpson Postpones Summer Tour

Pregnant newlywed Ashlee Simpson has put her summer tour on hold, the singer’s rep revealed today.

“After careful consideration, Ashlee Simpson has decided to postpone her summer tour,” Simpson’s rep said in a statement. “She is committed to giving her fans the best show possible, and will be back better than ever and ready to rock in the future.”

Pete Wentz officially broke the news of his wife’s pregnancy last week, making the announcement on his website, friendsorenemies.com on Wednesday.

“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child,” Wentz said. “This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”

Simpson and Wentz tied the knot in a shotgun ceremony in California on May 17.

Ashlee Simpson Changes Name

Pop star Ashlee Simpson is officially changing her name to ‘Wentz’ after her May 17 wedding to Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz.

The possibly preggers Simpson will no longer go by her family name, either in private or the public eye, as she feels it’s “right” to uphold the age-old tradition of changing names when entering into wedlock.

“I think that [changing your name is] something that a woman should do when they’re marrying a man,” she told People. “It’s a tradition that I think is a great tradition.”

In private, Ashlee will go by the name Ashlee Wentz, but will keep her maiden name, in the form of Simpson-Wentz, for all professional endeavours — something which new husband Pete Wentz is over the moon about.

“Oh man, I was like upgrade me! You know what I’m saying?” Pete said. “The Wentz family, our Christmas card just got upgraded!”

Wentz added: “It feels insane. It feels unreal.”

Pete & Ashlee Sign Pre-Nup

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest’s KISS-FM radio show this morning, Fallout Boy rocker Pete Wentz dished the dirt on his weekend wedding to fellow singer Ashlee Simpson, admitting they’d signed a pre-nup, but refusing to comment one way or the other on the baby rumour.

“We have signed a pre-nup,” the newlywed admitted.

Wentz, who was speaking with Seacrest via telephone while new wife Simpson was asleep, said that being married was great.

“I feel great!” he said. “It is sunny and 65 in my head.”

The 26-year-old revealed that they’ve decided to skip the traditional post-wedding honeymoon at this stage, and instead have been staying in their L.A. basement, gorging on pizza and spray tan.

“We got some blow-up palm trees,” Wentz said. “A little fake-n-bake tanning booth.

“We’re eating DiGiorno’s pizza, getting in that tanning oven every once in a while, it’s great. It’s gonna look like we’re on that private jet.”

Added Wentz: “We’re gonna save that 30 grand, you know?”

Also up for speculation during the interview was Ashlee’s new surname. At this stage, Wentz was just happy that the young Pieces of Me singer was now officially part of the family, adding that he wasn’t sure whether she would take his name or keep the name ‘Simpson’.

“She legally is a Wentz,” Pete said. “I don’t know what she’ll do with her stage name, that’s up to her. She hasn’t decided that.”

Seacrest tried to pop in the baby question without Wentz noticing, but the rocker was on the ball, picking up the shotgun wedding question for what it was straight away and giving a rather long-winded response that pretty much said “no comment.”

“I get the backdoor question you’re asking me, but [the wedding has] been something we’ve been planning for a long time. I gave her a promise ring four months ago.”

The American Idol host plundered on regardless, asking Wentz whether or not he and Simpson had thought about any baby names.

Wentz laughed in reply. “Ryan,” he said, “this baby has not been confirmed. The only thing I’m confirming now is that we’re in the basement on our honeymoon with these blow-up palm trees.”

Yeah… there’s definitely a baby.
