Britney Spears Throws a Knife at a Man

… and no, the man wasn’t K-Fed… it was a stage manager from the House of Blues, where she performed recently during her “comeback tour.”

The head-shaving trashista was so outraged that the correct lights hadn’t been ordered for her show that she picked up a butter knife and threw it at the stage manager’s head!

The bizarre blowup occurred when a stage manager went to Britney’s dressing room before showtime to tell her that special lights she’d ordered weren’t available. “What? You didn’t get the lights I wanted?” shrieked Britney. Stunned by her fury, the guy stammered that the house lighting looked fantastic but…. SHRIEEEEK!…Britney screamed, snatched a butter knife off a buffet table – and flung it at his head! The guy ducked and the knife slammed harmlessly into the wall.

Apparently, a House of Blues exec walked in on the incident, and forced the troubled star to apologize… immediately.

“You’re not a big enough star that I can’t cancel you right now!… You apologize immediately or I’ll make sure you never appear at any House of Blues again… or anywhere else!” the executive was quoted as saying.

Britney then put on the water works and apologized as requested… but I bet the reason she was crying had more to do with the fact that the exec called her “not a big enough star”… that’s gotta cut deep for someone who was once on top of the music world.

Yeah, shaving your head, taking drugs and Paris Hilton will do that to you…
