Britney Refuses to Attend Jamie Lynn’s Shotgun Wedding

The rift between the Spears sisters continues to grow, with Britney refusing to attend her little sister’s wedding because she’s still upset that no one told her about Jamie Lynn’s shock pregnancy.
When 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears told the media last year that she was carrying her 18-year-old boyfriend’s love child, poor Brit Brit wasn’t informed about the news, and only found out herself when she picked up a copy of the mag and saw her sister’s mug on the front cover!
Things between the sisters have been hanging by tenterhooks ever since, but it appears Jamie Lynn has tried to extend the olive branch (or just use her for her fame), by inviting her big sis to be the maid of honour at her upcoming shotgun wedding. However, Britney has refused the invitation, and believes she’s only being used by Jamie Lynn for her fame and the amount of media attention she would create if she attended. “When Jamie Lynn asked her, Britney laughed sarcastically down the phone,” a source revealed. “She told her hell would freeze over before she’d stand as her maid of honour, then hung up on her.”  A friend close to the sisters added: “[Jamie Lynn] just wants her famous sister at her wedding to show off to her friends. She doesn’t care about [Britney].”
