Britney on her Baldness: “My Mum is Going to Freak!”

Hairdresser Esther Tognozzi, owner of Esther’s Haircutting Studio in Tarzana, where Britney Spears infamously shaved her head, says that shortly after the shaving, a teary-eyed Britney blurted: “My mom is going to freak!”
Tognozzi says that shortly after 7pm, Britney arrived at the salon with two bodyguards in tow, her head covered in a hoodie, and said: “I want you to buzz my hair off.”
The hairdresser explains that she spent several minutes trying to talk Britney out of the outrageous hair-style, after which Britney announced: “Then I’ll do it.”
She describes Britney as having “no expression” during the shaving, but said that once she’d finished, she was all smiles for the cameras.
As Britney left the salon, Tognozzi says she asked her if the new hair-style was a symbol of a new beginning. Britney replied: “Something like that.”
I really would have liked to have been a fly on the wall at Britney’s mum’s place, when she first heard and saw what Britney had done to her hair…I imagine “freak” might have been a little bit of an understatement…
