Ashlee Double Dates With Nicole Richie

In other Simpson news, Ashlee and her new fiance, Pete Wentz, went on a double date with Nicole Richie and her own rocker beau, Joel Madden.
The foursome were seen out and about together in NYC (but not photographed), and were said to have enjoyed a “lovely” meal together in an unnamed restaurant. Perhaps Simpson was getting tips from Richie on motherhood, with rumours running rife that the former Seventh Heaven actress is expecting.
Earlier in the week, Simpson called questions about her possible pregnancy “inappropriate,” and then chowed down on a smorgesboard of food at Virgil’s BBQ in Midtown Manhattan, leaving on-lookers to wonder whether she was “eating for two.”
One source said Ashlee dined on “antipasto, mozzarella and chicken capricciosa,” but passed on dessert.
“She was having fun,” the source added. “She was great.”
