Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Divorced

Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson is now a free man, after finalizing his divorce proceedings with now ex-wife, Dany Garcia.

The Rock and Dany separated after 10 years of marriage and have one child together, 7 year old Simone. Johnson will pay $22,000 per month child support, which seems pretty reasonable.

Both parents will share custody and contribute $5,000 each per month into a trust account for Simone.

Both Johnson and Garcia have waived their rights to any alimony and agreed to allow Simone as much phone time as she wants with either parent. Court documents state that;

“Each of the parties shall exercise, in the utmost of good faith, his and her best efforts at all times to encourage and foster the maximum relations of love and affection between the minor child and her mother and father,”

Gotta give them credit here, it is rare to see a couple in a marriage breakdown acting maturely and in the best interests of the child, let alone a Hollywood couple.

Dina Lohan Happy For Lesbian Lindsay

Dina Lohan, who has made a living out of her daughters has come clean on exactly what she thinks of daughter Lindsay’s rumored romance and wedding with Samantha Ronson.

“If she’s happy, I’m happy.”

“That’s all I’ll say.”

“I’ve known her and her family for ten years.”

Dina has previously denied that Lindsay was a switch hitter, but it seems like even she cannot live in denial any longer. Of course, she may still be thinking that it is either a passing fad or nothing more then generating publicity to keep her daughter in the spotlight long enough to get some more work and keep the gravy train going.

Charlie Sheen Marries Brooke Mueller

Charlie Sheen has wed longtime girlfriend Brooke Mueller at a private estate in Beverly Hills.

There were 70 guests at the ceremony, including Sheen’s father Martin and his three daughters, Cassandra, Sam and Lola.

Brooke had wanted a formal affair, but Charlie wanted to keep things simple. The couple wrote their own vows for the ceremony, which had no bridesmaids or groomsmen in the wedding party.

I wonder how the ex Mrs Sheen, Denise Richards has to say. You can bet she is not wishing the happy couple a long and prosperous life together, that’s for sure.

Chasing Bailey News

In my previous post, I mentioned how some old time managers and celebrities do not fully understand the reach, influence and value of blogs. Fortunately, many of the newer personalities are savvy with modern media and are only too happy to engage with a wider community.

New Aussie act, Chasing Bailey are a great example of this. I have chatted with them a few times now and they are always very friendly and only too happy to chat. As I like plugging Aussie acts on here, I told them to let me know whenever they have something to share and I’ll inform you all about it.

Rogue Traders Show Last Night

Last night I went to see Aussie band the Rogue Traders in very wet and windy weather.

The band came on at 10:45 and played for about 1.5 hours to a packed house.

The show really rocked and we managed to get a plum spot on the side of the stage, giving us a great uninterrupted view of the show. I was impressed with how good the band sounded live and the energy of the show.

The only bummer with the gig was the fact that, as per usual, no cameras were allowed in, at least they wouldn’t let me bring in my DSLR camera, which would have given me far better shots then the ones I got.

I met some interesting people with the band; it is always good to speak to the people that do all the hard work behind the scenes and get the inside gossip. Most of these people have worked with other big name acts, so you can pick up info on all kinds of bands and people.

I got to meet and have a chat with everyone, including the bands manager, Michael, but that is as far as I got.

I met Michael just before the band finished their final song, as he was preparing their escape route. I went up and introduced myself and said I was from Staralicious.

The conversation went like this:

Me: “Hi Michael, I am from Staralicious, you may not have heard of it.”

Michael: “Yes, I know all about it.”

Me: Surprised. “Ok, cool.”

Michael: “What do you want.”

Me: Thinking that he is with the program. “Just a photo with the group for the Website.”

Michael: “Nope.”

Me: “What, serious?”

Michael: “I said no.”

Security then came over to me and basically apologized, saying that how someone now thinks they are bigger then the public and are up themselves.

I actually don’t have a problem with the band declining a photo, that is their choice, but the brush off the manager gave me, left me with the impression that it may have been because Staralicious is a blog. It is amazing how many old school managers don’t recognize the value and reach of blogs like Staralicious.

Mind you, the brush off could have been because there was no money in it for them, or because the car they had to take the band away from the gig had a smashed rear windscreen, and it was raining…. and no , I didn’t do it….

The funny thing is, with Natalie leaving the band after a couple of more shows, to push her solo career and try and make it in the US in movies, the publicity Staralicious could give her would have enhanced her US profile.

Maybe she should take notice of Chasing Bailey and how they interact with new media.

Britney Spears To Play Sandy On Broadway’s Grease?

Britney is proving popular this week. First we had John Lyndon (Jonny Rotten of the Sex Pistols) wanting to collaborate and write a song for Britney to help her get over her troubles and now word comes out that the producers of Grease are putting out feelers for Britney.

Believe it or not, they are chasing Britney for the role of Sandra D in the Broadway play. recasting begins in July and they think Britney would be ideal for the role.

They think Britney looks like Sandy.

WTF?

Have they seen the photo I posted earlier today?

Maybe in the past, when she looked like the picture above, she could have passed for one of the Pink Ladies, but Sandra D?

An Indiana Proposal

Fresh from the success of the latest installment of Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford has proposed to long-term girlfriend, Calista Flockhart.

Ford, twice married before, popped the question to Flockhart on April Fool’s Day.

If you were going to pop the question and wanted to leave yourself a way out, should you change your mind, that’d be the day to do it on.

Apparently, Ford intends to honor his proposal and plans to have a wedding as soon as the promotional work for the latest Indiana flick has finished.

Time will tell.

Britney’s Very Saggy

The Daily Mail has some pictures that show Britney in a very unflattering light. Nothing new there I know, but she still has the mystery belly bump that her people deny is due to her being pregnant.

There has been considerable speculation that Britney is pregnant once again, and these pictures will do nothing but increase these rumors.

The issue I have though, is what is with the satin dress? Even worse, who would let her wear this out in public without a bra?

I think someone needs a silocon, stat, before she has to start tucking them into her belt.
