Claire Danes… Pretty?

Now, I never (in a gazillion years-type never) thought I’d see Claire Danes and “pretty” in the same sentence, but after seeing these shots of the Romeo & Juliet star at the premiere of her new flick, Stardust, I had no choice but to make it so.
The very blonde starlet looks as good as I’ve ever seen her, decked out in a knee-length, backless black dress, dazzling rhinestones, and cute-as-a-button kitten heels.
And the movie doesn’t look too bad, either..

Britney & K-Fed Finalize Divorce

It’s been nearly 7 months since Britney Spears filed for divorce from her party-going hubby, Kevin Federline, and after much fighting and recklessness on both sides, the pair have finally come to an agreement, finalizing their divorce in a Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday.
“I think she’s okay with the terms,” Spears’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, said after the proceedings. “I think both of them would prefer to have more custody, and that can be worked out down the line.”
According to Wasser, the custody has been temporarily split 50-50, but that’s likely to change in the near future, with K-Fed still intent to keep their kids away from his troubled ex-wife.
Spears’ lawyer refused to comment on the financial sum of the settlement.

Paris Hilton Loses £29M Inheritance!

After severely tarnishing the well-known Hilton name, and dragging her family’s reputation through the mud with her drink driving charges, imprisonment and pornography, Paris Hilton has just been cut out of her granddaddy’s will, losing out on an estimated £29 million!!!
According to a source, granddaddy Barron Hilton is so appalled by little Paris’ behaviour that he’s decided against leaving her all his wealth when he dies, instead opting to give all of his “unearned” fortune to charity.
“He was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris,” the source said of Barron.
“He now doesn’t want to leave unearned wealth to his family.”
I guess she really does need those singing lessons, after all!

Shield your eyes, folks, because this is by far the most disturbing thing I’ve seen this month!
These stills were taken during the shooting of Brit Brit’s new music video, in which she obviously plays the part of a stripper - and an even trashier stripper than Lindsay’s version in her up-coming flick, I Know Who Killed Me.
If Britney’s bad weave and skanky outfit don’t get you scrambling for a bucket to puke in, then her thunder thighs and gellatinous stomach definitely will! Overall, a really, really bad look for someone who clearly shouldn’t even be performing anymore.

Usher’s Wedding Cancelled
The wedding between R&B star, Usher Raymond, and his pregnant 37-year-old manager, Tameka Foster, has been cancelled for unknown reasons.
A ceremony had been scheduled for this afternoon at music executive, L.A. Reid’s Long Island home, but was promptly called off earlier today. Usher’s rep released a statement a short while ago:
“The wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond, IV and Tameka Foster was cancelled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected.”
It is as yet unknown whether the cancellation is a permanent one, or whether Usher and his pregnant beau will wed at a later date.

Nicole Richie Sentenced to Jail!

What a wonderful story to wake up to this Saturday morning!!
Following in her Simple Life co-star’s footsteps, Nicole Richie was sentenced to jail in a Los Angeles court on Friday, after pleading guilty to driving under the influence for the second time. Granted, it was only a four-day sentence, which means she’ll spend significantly less time in prison than good pal Hilton did, but at least it’s something, right?
As well as the four-day jail stint, Richie must enroll in an alcohol education program, and serve a three-year probation term, as was agreed by the judge and herself for lessening the standard 3-month prison term to less than a week.
Nicole has also been ordered to pay a fine of $2,048 - wow! That’ll break the piggy bank!
During the sentencing, the L.A. County Commissioner, Steven Lubell, scolded Richie for her poor behaviour, saying, “Someone could’ve gotten killed. You need to understand that driving under the influence is extremely dangerous.”
While there was no surrender date set, Richie must complete her prison time before September 28, and has the option of serving her measley amount of time in a paid city jail, which is apparently a lot more extravagant than the county jail Paris had to contend with.

Naomi Watts Gives Birth To Baby Boy

The King Kong star’s rep revealed exclusively to Usmagazine.com that she and her beau, Liev Schreiber, have just welcomed a bundle of joy into the world - a son, who was born on July 25 at 3:59 p.m.
The baby boy, who Naomi and Liev named Alexander Pete Schreiber, weighed 8lb, 4oz when born, and is 22 1/2 inches long.
Naomi’s rep said: “The parents are ecstatic, and both mom and baby are doing great.”[Source]
Lindsay Says, “I Am Innocent!”

After a brief statement from her attorney yesterday, Lindsay Lohan herself has offered more short words, sending an email to CNN’s Billy Bush which said, “I am innocent.”
“Yes. I am innocent … did not do drugs they’re not mine,” Lohan told him, although I’m not sure how she expects anyone to believe that, given that the drugs were found on her person by the police in the station.
Reports surrounding the arrest claim that the police received a tip off in the form of a 911 call from the mother of Lindsay’s former personal assistant, who was supposedly being chased by a drunken Lohan in an SUV; however, Lindsay has a twist to this tale.
“I was almost hit by my assistant Tarin’s mom,” she said simply, as if that would explain why she was driving like a maniac and drunk.
When they arrived on the scene, the officers found the Mean Girls star and the woman in a “heated debate” in Santa Monica’s Civic Auditorium parking lot at around 1.30 am.
With nothing else left to say, Lohan, who’s currently spending time in an unknown rehab facility, said, “I appreciate everyone giving me my privacy.”

Jessica Alba Breaks Up With Cash Warren

Another single “Jessica” hits the Hollywood market, with Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer star Jessica Alba breaking up with her beau of two-and-a-half years, Cash Warren.
According to Usmagazine.com, the split occurred over the telephone last week during Alba’s Fantastic Four promotional tour, with the blonde starlet telling Warren, “I’m not in love with you anymore.”
Just hours after breaking up with him, Jessica had one of her assistants sent to the L.A. home they shared to pack up all of Cash’s belongings and move him out. Talk about quick!
While Alba’s rep refused to comment on the split, a pal of Warren’s told Us that the 28-year-old producer was “devastated.” The breakup “happened… almost out of nowhere,” said the pal. “[Cas] thinks it’s for another guy but doesn’t know… he’s totally devastated. But it was all [Jessica].”
Well, with the speed of which of the split happened, you couldn’t blame Cash for thinking another man had something to do with it all, especially since it wasn’t so long ago that Alba was gushing about him and calling him “The One.”
