Beyonce & Rihanna Play Nice at BET

Pop rivals (and possibly even rivals in love) Beyonce Knowles and Rihanna played nice at this year’s BET Awards on Tuesday.

The B’Day singer towered over her smaller, more attractive counterpart as they giggled together on the red carpet, something which I’m sure was staged for the swarm of cameras surrounding them.

As you all know, Beyonce’s boyfriend, Jay-Z is the manager of little Rihanna, and is quite protective of her. There’s been rumours suggesting that he and his SOS star have been having a bit of a fling on the side, and apparently, these stories haven’t gone down well with the Big B.

So, I ask you all… is there some tension beneath those smiles?

Paris Speaks Out About Prison

Paris Hilton spent her first day of freedom answering countless reporters, and I’m sure each put the headline of “exclusive first interview” on their magazine covers.

Here’s an excerp from one such interview with People:

On her first night in prison:
“I was basically in the fetal position, basically in hysterics.”

On her fellow inmates:
“All of the inmates were very supportive. There were girls next to me. We could talk through the vents and they were just really sweet

On her medical condition:
“The doctors were observing me while I was there. They explained to Sheriff [Lee] Baca that they thought I was having severe anxiety, panic attacks, claustrophobia.”

On people who doubt that she will change after her jail experience:
“They’re wrong and they don’t know me. I’m a good person. I’m a compassionate person. I have a big heart. I’m sincere, and they’ll see.”

On getting out:
“Just being able to hug my mom felt so great, and I really needed it ’cause I haven’t had a hug in a long time.”

Now I bet she’s after sex, drugs and hard liquor, right?

Paris Hilton released From Jail

Paris Hilton has been released from jail just after midnight.

She has reportedly lost 10 pounds during her incarceration.

Well she needed to if you ask me, she was looking a complete porker compared to her friend with the luscious body Nicole Richie.

Now we can expect the rebirth remake of Paris. So you all had better get ready from some very nauseating proclamations and words of wisdom according to Paris.

I know I can’t wait.

Vandals Hit Paris’ Pad

In celebration of her release from prison, which is only a few hours away now, Paris Hilton’s pad was hit with vandals, promoting the recent re-connection of the website ParisExposed.com.

I guess her security were too busy dunking doughnuts to notice the vandal spray-painting words all over her front wall…

Justin Timberlake Abuses Fans

Once voted the biggest ego in the entertainment business, pop tart (um, star) Justin Timberlake proved to fans across the globe that this label was very accurate, when he allegedly abused his own fans during the Swedish leg of this world tour.

While he was there, the self-absorbed star “refused to pose for photos, threw missiles at fans from the roof of his hotel and even spat at them.”

Of course, it didn’t take long for his fans to get sick and tired of the unprovoked attacks, and retaliated by calling the jerk a “f-kface.” This didn’t go down well with Timberlake, who was heard responding to the angry insult: “You’re calling me a f-kface? Go f-k yourself!”

Unfortunately, his disrespect didn’t stop at his more mature fans. Sources say that earlier that same day, a young girl asked if she could take his picture. To this simple request, Timberlake replied sarcastically, “You want me to juggle also?”

Geez, give me a break! He’s a breakaway boyband singer, that’s it! I remember your N’Sync days, Justin, I remember! And they’re nothing to brag about, I can tell you. This dude needs a pin prick in the head to deflate his ego… or maybe just a good solid kick up the ass!

British actress Kate Beckinsale really knows how to steal the show, turning up to the New York premiere of Bruce Willis’ new movie, Live Free or Die Hard - the fourth flick in the Die Hard franchise - in a really, really, really short dress!

It kinda gives a new name to the style of “micro mini,” but at least she’s got the legs for it! Not something I’d wear, and not exactly fashionable, but she still looks great!

Britney Joins Cyndi Lauper’s Tour

After a disappointing string of shows in her comeback tour, Britney Spears has jumped on the tour bus of Cyndi Lauper, and will make a one-time appearance alongside other pop greats on Lauper’s “True Colours” tour.
Brits will join Lauper on June 30 in LA, and will perform with Debbie Harry, Erasure and the Dresden Dolls.

Apparently, Spears was supposed to audition dancers on Friday for her performance but never turned up. Sounds like it’s gonna be an awesome show!

Tom Cruise to be Beckham’s Boss?

Ever heard the saying “Don’t mix business with pleasure?” It’s a pretty popular one, and it definitely makes sense, but Tom Cruise being the self-proclaimed almighty man that he is has chosen to ignore it and make himself the boss of close pal David Beckham.

The Mission: Impossible actor is said to be launching a US $80 million takeover bid of Beckham’s new soccer club, Los Angeles Galaxy.

Apparently, Cruise is such a huge soccer fan that he wants to give his financial backing to his pal’s team, and in doing so, make himself David’s boss.
A source said: “To have Tom’s backing would be amazing - there’s no way Galaxy bosses would turn down that opportunity.”

Gee, so now David has to put up with Tom’s Scientology talk during games instead of just in between them…
