TomKat On Parade

It’s been a while since we’ve seen TomKat out together, and they didn’t disappoint with the mushy mushy displays of affection (personally, I can’t see why they can’t just leave that stuff for behind closed doors…unless they need it for the publicity).

Here are the happy fake couple attending the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.

As always, Katie towers over Tom (mustn’t be wearing high enough lifts tonight!), and again, he has her dressing like a posh grandma!

That dress is hideous! It’s the wrong colour for her for starters, and the whole shimmery silk thing…argh! The only thing I do like is her hair-piece…but I don’t like her hair up all the time - it ages her something terrible!!!

Someone said to me she looks like a little girl playing prom dress-up, and I think that’s exactly what she looks like.

It looks like Tom has finally decided to cut his hair and clean himself up a bit. Must be making a movie come-back soon!

Portia De Rossi: Walking Skeleton

Portia De Rossi, Aussie actress and girlfriend of American comedian, Ellen Degeneres, looked like a walking skeleton as she strolled down the red carpet at today’s Oscars ceremony!

She used to look so beautiful in her Ally MacBeal days (and don’t get me wrong, she’s still beautiful), but now, she’s so…thin!!! She’s lost so much weight since the last time I’ve seen her, and the dress is just hanging off her skinny frame.

Ellen needs to start feeding her more…home-cooked meals, and such.

On a positive note, the dress is really stunning…it would just look a whole lot better if she had a little more meat on her bones, and if her shoulders didn’t protrude so much.

Oscars Mega-Post!

Another awards show, another of my “hit and miss” posts…

First up, we have the hits (IMO) of the evening:

Penelope Cruz is my best-dressed of the night (although our Cate comes in a close second).

The dress is fabulous, and few would have been able to pull off such a look, but Penny looks great! And I’m going to go against public opinion and say that I love her hair pulled back like that. It’s a nice change from the usual flowing waves.

Cate Blanchett! It’s no surprise to find her at the top of my list - I love this woman - she always looks so amazing where ever she goes! Not much else to say about this except…GORGEOUS!!!

Anne Hathaway…she’s sure come a long way from her fashion misses of the past!

This dress is just divine! Usually I’m not a fan of big bows, but it really suits her…and I’m always a sucker for lace.

And the misses…

Cameron Diaz! I’m never usually a fan of what she’s wearing, and this year’s Oscars is no exception. When everyone else looks so fabulous, it’s really easy for a safe dress to look plain and boring, and that’s exactly what this is. And what is it with her and messy hair?? Sometimes, sleek is better…

Another miss for Beyonce Knowles! Thank goodness she’s not nominated, because I would hate to see her accept her award with a split to rival a hooker’s!!!

Her posing only makes the dress look worse - it’s too tarty for an Oscars (even though I like her hair)!

There is one more I’d like to add to the “miss list” (Reese Witherspoon - ugly purple dress), but unfortunately, I have a day job, and my break’s over.

Once I finish for the day, I’ll fix this post up…I just wanted to get this up now, before the Oscars are old news!!!

EDIT: As promised, here is Reese Witherspoon, looking fairly average.

I’m not a fan of purple, and the dark shade on her just doesn’t look right. She seems to be suited to really bright colours, like that wonderful yellow number she wore to the Golden Globes (at least I think it was there).

Britney Has Visit From Her Children

Britney Spears has had another visit from estranged hubby, Kevin Federline, and this time he brought her children along with him.

Kevin brought their boys, Sean Preston, 17 months, and Jayden, 5 months, to the Promises rehab centre on Saturday evening.

“The kids are [Kevins] No. 1 priority and they always have been,” a source says. “He’s so stressed out right now. He only wants the best for Britney and the kids.”

Josh & Diane At An Oscars Pre-Party

Here’s another Hollywood couple who like to keep themselves out of the limelight…

Joshua Jackson (from The Might Ducks fame - I just love bringing that up! ) and his gal pal, Diane Kruger, stepped out for a night on the town at the Global Green Oscars Pre-Party.

Diane is wearing an interesting ensemble that reminds me of Sienna Miller’s jumper, undies and tights costume she wore to her Factory Girl movie premiere earlier in the year.

However, Diane does a better job in pulling off the look (I think it has something to do with having a little “class”), and it seems short dresses and tights are in for this season. I didn’t want to have to go there, but it looks like I might have to.

Josh, as always, looks dashing! I suddenly remember why I loved him so much in Dawson’s Creek!

Beauty & The Beast

You don’t see much of these two around Hollywood, so it’s nice to see them out and about, attending the Independent Spirit Awards together.

Michelle looks absolutely stunning with her new pixie cut! I think she looks more beautiful every time I see her out.

Heath on the other hand…he just seems to get grubbier and grubbier!

What happened to the fresh-faced hottie from A Knight’s Tale? I’m a little biased, I suppose. I’m not a fan of facial hair, so of course I’d prefer him without it…ditch the facial hair, and the secret-service sunglasses, and I think he’ll be looking much better.

K-Fed Fears For Britney’s Life

Kevin Federline has told The Daily Star UK that he fears for the life of his ex-wife, Britney Spears, and that he has “cried his eyes out” while watching her fall apart.

“We all fear for her life and not just a possible drunken accident,” Kevin told a relative recently.

“She’s down to zero self-esteem and maximum self-pity. She’s capable of anything with pills and a few drinks inside her.”

“If she doesn’t stop she’s going to end up in the mortuary like Anna Nicole Smith. One moment she’s hysterical, the next she’s whimpering like a little girl.”

Apparently, the night of her “umbrella incident,” Kevin told her that although he still loved her, they could never get back together. She then demanded to see their two children, and when K-Fed refused, she went agro on a 4 x 4 parked outside.

Kevin warned her that if this latest stint in rehab fails, he’ll go “all out” to get full custody of their two young children.

Everybody Loves Hayden

Ok, well not everybody…but Jessica Alba and Kevin Kline certainly do…

In a cover story with Canadian Toro magazine, the two former co-stars of Mr. Christensen spilled the beans on what they think of him…and they had nothing but praise for the young man famous for his portrayal of Darth Vader.

Jessica Alba on Hayden: “He’s so warm and loving and sweet. And not an egomaniac or egotistical or anything like that…there are a lot of actors out there — they like to be famous and they like to act like movie stars, and all that, and it doesn’t feel like that’s what Hayden’s goal is.”

Kevin Kline on Hayden: “He’s a regular, not to say he’s not extraordinary and special, but…he’s a man. He’s not some sort of aberrant, artsy-fartsy, self-absorbed, phony, pathetic, neurotic, attention-seeking…whats the word — freak. I mean, he’s the real thing.”

And, of course, with a cover story, there’s also awesome “eat-your-heart-out” pictures to go along with it!!!

Scarlett Gets Charitable…in India

Another warm and fuzzy story…

This time, it’s actress Scarlett Johansson’s turn to get charitable, travelling to India to raise awareness of the suffering endured by the poor.

Scarlett has been in India since Monday, visiting the schools and povety-stricken areas of New Dehli, on behalf of Oxfam.

“We are delighted that Scarlett is supporting Oxfam and our work to help end global poverty,” said south Asian director, Ashvin Dayal.

“High-profile support helps us to raise awareness of these issues and urge governments and leaders worldwide to act.”

Jessica Gets Charitable

It feels like ages since we’ve had any gossip on Jessica Simpson (mainly because the likes of Britney Spears, Anna Nicole and Lindsay Lohan had been dominating the news), so I thought I’d post a little feel-good piece on her recent charitable work.

The now dark-haired pop star has just donated a new Chrysler Town & Country van, which she won during the MTV Video Music Awards, to a Mexican Orphanage.

Her winning car was originally supposed to be a sporty Chrysler Crossfire, but Simpson asked it to be changed to the van, in order to help out the orphanage. Awww…

The van is scheduled to be delivered next month.

Her charity work continues…

Jessica is also auctioning off the red dress she wore in the Pizza Hut commercial shown during this year’s Superbowl on eBay. All proceeds will be donated to Casar Hogar Elim Orphanage in Mexico.
